MARS IS SEXTILE PLUTO….feels a little bit like the universe (in my version anyway) is holding it’s breath … like a long pause or something… so i turn to astrology to see what’s up and Mars is making a sextile to Pluto.

But keywords never tell the whole story. Mars represents the ‘conscious’ desires of the Soul... what we’re aware that we desire.
And Pluto? Well, it’s retrograde. That can relate to a very narrow focus in the soul. We can see how our conscious desires easily (sextile) stimulate our soul in some way. Can be confusing if you don’t know what you want–and around that desire, Pluto demands sacrifice.
What are you willing to sacrifice to fulfill the conscious desires?
This interpretation works for my own life right now. Maybe the feeling of the long pause, holding of the breath, is because many other souls are also trying to work this out–the desire, the sacrifice that is demanded to fulfill it.
AND MOST IMPORTANTLY we have the very practical and conservative CAPRICORN where Pluto is currently living and very emotional MARS… fire planet in a water sign, Scorpio.
Emotional intense and impulsive Mars in Scorpio has a desire and its pretty easy to see the possibility of how Pluto is pointing out the realities of that desire; possibly saying GET REAL MARS… your desire is not practical. Yes, transformation is in order, but be realistic.
This aspect is asking us to be clear about our objectives. Any action taken now could result in permanent and far reaching change. Therefore, Intense emotion must be balanced with practicality at least for now.
Both mars and Pluto are making an exact sextile today at 11° and the energy will be within the orb of intensity for the next 3 days or so…. now through the weekend this energy may be quite prominent in the psyche’.
ADDENDUM: a further look at my transit chart shows the current Sun right on/crossing over my Ascendant and with Sun ruling my chart (27° Leo rising), maybe that’s the feeling of the universe holding it’s breath… and now i go to celebrate a happy un-birthday today!
