Daily Divination 8-1-11 Neptune/Mercury Joy and Enthusiasm—Can You Feel It? Now’s the time to Channel Inspirational Energy; I-CHING Kua 16 with Astrology and Tarot Archetypes

Enthused, zapped, lit up, electrified and turned on with energy—can you feel it? Today take that bridge to the world of Joy and Enthusiasm! There’s nothing like it under the Sun and speaking of Sun, let’s add on Optimism and Celebration! Enthusiasm has nothing to do with ego; rather, its  in connection to The Divine that we experience it– and in doing so, we  joyously merge with Life and with others. Something is shifting—perhaps it is because July is now behind us and we have the optimism of the new month ahead; but something has definitely shifted.

Astrologically, we have Mercury in nearly an exact opposition to Neptune which can illuminate the ever-present grace of The Divine; the ocean (Neptune) of inspiration is communicating (Mercury) with us!

The image for the I-CHING Kua 16/Enthusiasm is a perfect representation of a Cosmic Neptune and Communicative Mercury.

The keyword for today is Enthusiasm and you will do well to create it wherever and however you can and share it with others—it should be easy.

Today is a great day to inspire others and even the most daunting goals can be achieved easily with a little Enthusiasm; that grace is easily obtainable today.

Take time to celebrate today; never underestimate the power of shared Enthusiasm. The increase in confidence that Enthusiasm provides today will help you successfully achieve any endeavor.

Enthusiasm is generated by inspiration and the planet of inspiration (Neptune) is making a direct hit to the planet of communication (Mercury). But now I’m repeating myself. Mercury and Neptune will oppose until August 8th. It’s a great day; a great week (just like it is any time but especially NOW) to be touched by the illuminating creative power of Enthusiasm!

Daily Divination 7-30-11 misinterpreting strong karmic connections for LOVE – I-CHING Kua 54, The Marrying Maiden; Astrological and Tarot correlations

Man’s task is to become conscious of the contents that press upward from the unconscious.  –Carl Jung

Whenever we have compromised our authenticity and truth, the first symptom is usually a feeling of emptiness within. And to live in a world of make-believe and to insist on living in a fantasy, we gradually lose touch with who we really are. I did that once in a connection with someone – a very confusing relationship. Like many other people do, because a strong connection was felt, a misinterpretation was experienced.

I was fooling myself and in denial, failing to honor and respect my own truth. Finally, like in all cases such as these, circumstances evolved to the breaking point wherein I had to become completely honest with myself—and with many addictive types of situations, more than once before I could finally break the chains of my own illusion.

Today the I-CHING Kua 54 brings a cosmic communiqué about relationships. The paragraph above was about a one-on-one partnership; however this guidance applies to more than a personal or love relationship—we could relate this to business partnerships, a company, organization, family or any other type of group.

In any of those scenarios it is possible to enter unknowingly at first into a situation wherein our own spirit becomes compromised due to eventual inequality or subordination that comes about through a desire to be in a role or to be in a certain position.

Sometimes it takes a while before we realize we have become a pawn in someone else’s game or have fallen from grace due to susceptibility to flattery or manipulated through unrealistic promises.

What comes to mind is the word “discernment” as it relates to knowing who to trust and who not to trust and perhaps naiveté or gullibility. Some folks can get themselves very confused and in big trouble by believing others, taking everything at face value.

Gosh, what comes to mind next is the whole scenario of the Anthony family—you know about that right? The Florida legal case involving the death of little Caylee Anthony. What we could see happening in some of the family members involved is what is referred to as “silver-tongued devil’s”. What does that mean? People who will say anything to manipulate and coerce and other folks who take those silver-tongued individuals at face value.

I think one of the greatest lessons for those who are born with a consciousness that is too innocent and naïve is to develop a level of sophistication that incorporates the concept that some people can be really good liars. And some will lie about things that it isn’t even necessary to lie about. And further that people will manipulate the truth for their own agenda. If we have not grown up around folks like these, it is very easy to be taken in—we just cannot conceive of that type of manipulative dishonesty!

It’s confusing. And when confronted with it we will say to ourselves, “That’s what they said, why would they lie?” Mostly because we wouldn’t, we believe that other people are like we are.  They’re not always.

Ho! And that’s the real wake up call, isn’t it? When we find out, in undeniable terms, that all along we have been a pawn in someone else’s game, it is an awakening of sorts.

BUT there are no real victims and then we have to ask ourselves how it happened and what our own role was in the scenario and then we can get honest about it.

Was it our own low self-esteem issue that got us caught in the illusion? Were we failing to respect our self and our intuition?

When these things happen, as we look back we can clearly see how we were lying to ourselves or denying the obvious. We might ask ourselves, “How could I have been so blind”?

One of the most painful things in life is facing the truth that we’ve sold ourselves short—or perhaps for a while exchanged our very own soul by entering into agreements that weren’t good for us in the first place.

The bottom line message is that we need to allow ourselves to feel it and take responsibility for our part in it—this is the first step in release and reclaiming our soul. And feeling those emotions of self-betrayal (even though initially it feels like the other (s) betrayed us) can be horribly painful. It’s like I blogged about yesterday… bringing light into those dark places!

I’ve got to say from my personal experience, that I thought I’d cleared the energy (of that one relationship situation) many times; but, apparently I didn’t go deep enough. It was back when Uranus was exiting my 7th house and my transiting SN was hitting all the 12th house planets that the final catharsis occurred. It was pretty dramatic and probably involved clearing more than one lifetime’s worth of issues. Sleepless nights and many tears were involved but after all the review and re-examination in a new light (it took some time), I learned quite a lot and felt so much clearer about so many things. I know that sounds vague, but I am sparing you the details.

When we wake up to the realization that there is a fatal flaw in what we thought was going to be a perfect situation, we sometimes want to go back to sleep again and not look at reality—meaning that we put those rose-colored glasses back on and make excuses to cover up what we know deep down is true but simply can’t face—sometimes we don’t see it but everyone else does but we think it is they who are confused (not us).

We can so easily ignore the whispering of our own intuition when we become attached to a desired outcome—that happens so easily. The thing is to love yourself out of it and the first thing is forgiveness, knowing you did the best you could at the time.

In my case, it was an instance of misinterpreting the signals of ‘strong connection’ to another soul as something that it wasn’t. It was karmic connection that needed to be released in this lifetime.

Daily Divination 7-26-11 Balancing Mind/Body/Spirit; Do you know what you need and what you don’t? Use Intuition; I-CHING Kua 27

Create balance in mind, body and spirit – Kua 27 – did so much of that yesterday that I didn’t get to make a blog post; that was the I-CHING Kua for yesterday. Ever have a day when you just know, without a doubt, that things are out of balance? It’s a matter of finding out what we need to do in order to restore that and then taking step one, step two and before you know it things start to feel much better.  Using one’s intuitive impulses at these times to lead one to the next step, asking the question, “What do I need?” and then observing the response–this helps. That’s the kind of day I had yesterday…

It rained all day and my elbow was hurting from doing too much yard work and I felt a headache coming on—What do I need? What do I need? –that was the mantra for me yesterday. I decided it was a haircut which I did myself. I cut off a good 4 inches and felt much lighter. Then I acted on doing small things that I’d been putting off and one thing to another mixed with doing an hour aerobic workout, a meditation, housework and by the end of the day I was feeling good as new again. Essentially, I took the advice/guidance of Kua 27 and nurtured body, mind and spirit.

Health and well-being goes beyond being free from disease—our body, mind and spirit must be in balanced in order to radiate light. Mine wasn’t. Today’s message is to ask the self what is needed in order to restore balance in the mind/body/spirit. Sometimes what is needed is to change our daily routine and “clean up our act” (in my case yesterday, housework and a haircut and no blog post).

When the body/mind is balanced, our capacity for spontaneity, joy, and peace is increased. Every part of us requires nourishment—not just our stomach. Today the question for contemplation is “How well am I nourishing myself? What do I need?”

I will have to skip over the astrological and tarot archetype correlations for this one—or I will add them as an addendum later…

Kua 27 is called “The Corners of the Mouth” OR “Providing Sustenance”. How can you provide nourishment for yourself today?  Let your intuition guide you.

Daily Divination 7-21-11 Innocence, Intuition, Spontaneity in Walking One’s Path – I CHING Kua 25; Cancer, Leo, Aquarius, Pisces, Justice, The Emperor, Judgment, Death, Hanged Man, The Chariot

Innocence is the ability to pay attention to the inner voice of intuition and to spontaneously respond to life unfolding in the now. The members of the psychic class group are currently having a big discussion on diet and foods and fasting and onward—pulling this rune for today’s cosmic communiqué relates (I believe) to trusting the body’s wisdom in each moment which was my contribution to discussions on the topic.

Today’s message comes from Kua 25 of the I CHING, called “Innocence” –human nature directed by spirit. This Kua is also called “Simple Purpose”—following the true inclination of the heart.

The Wilhelm/Baynes Book of Changes says this about Kua 25: By devotion to the divine spirit within the self, innocence is attained that leads to do the right thing with ‘instinctive’ sureness without any thought.

I can’t help but think of babies and their diet. Moms tend to worry about what their children eat. Maybe I’m old fashioned (probably, I’m getting old… ) but ‘back in the day’ the pediatricians would say to offer the child a variety of healthy foods and the child’s body wisdom will direct them. I noticed that this was true overall—lots of noodles one day and the next day lots of carrots. It seemed to balance out without me  injecting any food anxieties.

Children have not been programmed to have preferences, to be fixated on ideals, or strive to achieve ego-goals. Children, in their natural innocence, can be such beautiful teachers.

Because of our training as we move into adulthood, the mind can be forceful in trying to convince the “innocent self” of certain beliefs under the guise of improvement. Sometimes that’s a good thing but…

… today’s message is gently reminding us of the wisdom gained when we trust the innocence of our own natural spirit.

Renew your acquaintance with your natural, childlike, innocent self—there is wisdom there.

BOTTOM LINE: Today’s message is to approach each situation as it comes and to be responsive to subtle influences that are the result of sensitivity and enthusiasm. Life is a moment-to-moment flowering, not some problem to be solved. Look at life today through the eyes of an innocent child. To function most effectively (in any situation), it is important to ‘be present’ in each and every moment. Release complex issues in favor of a simple approach. Find the balance you need between childlike confidence and the wisdom of experience.

The Astrological Correlations to the I CHING Kua 25, Innocence are:

Cancer – nurturing with food

Leo – childlike; Leo rules the 5th house of “children”

Aquarius – being a “group of one”; breaking free from a need to conform

Pisces – mutability; willingness to be flexible; being aware of subtle energy; innocence; openness

The Tarot Correlations to the I CHING Kua 25, Innocence are:

Justice – energy being balanced; need for equilibrium; need to discriminate what is best for self

The Emperor – the need to balance the strong male qualities with the feminine; being too rigid or too fixed with a desire to bring order and control into one’s life

Judgment – realizing one is not just a body or mind, but a divine being; receptivity to the ways of one’s spirit; living one’s inner truth

Death – rebirth; rejuvenation; being open to change;

Hanged Man – being non-resistive; reversal in thinking; relaxing about things; surrender and letting go; softening of fixed viewpoints; looking at things from a different point of view

The Chariot – using one’s body as a vehicle of one’s true self-expression; separation from “race consciousness” or “consensus” thinking; seeing the big picture; working with a larger reality; receiving direction from ‘within’; taking the “middle path”

As always, I hope that the Tarot and Astrology archetype correlations help to further clarify the message inspired by today’s I CHING Kua 25, Innocence.  See you tomorrow….

Daily Divination Improvement over the next few months; The Inevitability of Change and Divine Timing – I CHING Kua 24; Pisces, Aquarius, Capricorn, Death, The Empress, The World, Hanged Man, The Chariot

Today pause to remember that life has cycles continually unfolding.  There will be improvement over the next few months; this is a turning point.

Turning points are inevitable and the motion life never really stops; yet pauses do happen during the changes of the cycles and seasons.

These are moments when the world seems to hold its breath while a shift occurs. Sensitive people can sense these transitions within their own systems. Take the shift from winter to spring—while there still may be snow on the ground, the promise of spring is felt by those who are sensitive and who feel the quickening that happens beneath the earth; the daffodils are ready to come up even though there are no early shoots above the ground, a sensitive person and feel the stirrings of spring.

If your efforts seem to be at a standstill, remember the lesson of the season of winter into spring given in the paragraph above. We trust the seasons in nature and should hold the same trust in the inevitability of change in our personal lives as well. Natural Law! Nature is an awesome instructor, especially in regard to lessons of divine or ‘right’ timing. There are times in our lives when we cannot effect change and just like the message of yesterday’s blog (Kua 13) we can only wait—just like we wait for spring each year.

Spring will come when it will—and we know it will–and there’s nothing at all we can do to hurry it along.

That’s the epitome of today’s message which is very similar to yesterdays.

Another good example of today’s message has to do with the steady improvements that come as we recover from a cold or flu. We may try to push forward as we sense an improvement from the day before but as we do, we only have to rest again—more recuperation is needed. We cannot ‘bounce back’ until our energy has been replenished.

The greater point of today’s message is that there are times when there is nothing we can do but have faith because “doing something” doesn’t help, it only hinders at these times. Certain times it is best not to interfere; oh, yes, we can try but soon find that it gets us nowhere and we need to return and release attachments.

Today’s message is to take care of yourself while a transition is occurring in your life. Look inward and be in touch with The Divine within you. Be gentle with yourself today; don’t try to accomplish too much.

Let your energy be recharged now and remember nature—the ebb and flow of the ocean. Be receptive and patient, not too outgoing.

The next few months will show steady improvement.

Contemplate the word “regeneration”.

The Astrological Correlations for the I CHING Kua 24 are Capricorn (withdrawal), Aquarius (detachment) and Pisces (expanded awareness).

The Tarot Correlations are:

Death – transformation; change

The Empress – pregnant with and about to be born

The World – Divine Timing

Hanged Man – letting go; surrender

The Chariot – seeing the big picture from within consciousness

Divination Message for March 28, 2011 Structures are Dissolving – Neptune and Hanged Man

The Hanged Man! The Suspended Person! Surrender!   This tarot card correlates with Neptune—the planet of illusion, delusion on the lower octaves and of spirituality and higher mind in the higher octave.  What a weekend it was! Did you find a need to surrender anywhere in your life and is that need still present right now?  The divination message for today comes from The Hanged Man and Neptune.
Do you feel the intense energy right now that correlates with exactly this? I won’t go into details, but over the weekend there was an episode with someone very close to me that totally shifted a situation into a new reality—yet that reality is not yet stabilized.

I see this theme with people who call for readings right now and nearly everybody I speak with—a new reality, but we have little or no details yet about how it’s going to manifest, at least not exactly.
I think that it’s a good time to do some intention setting. It is almost like a blank slate is before us now and the universe/psyche/soul is asking us what we wish to create next because the old just  isn’t going to work anymore; at least not in the way it has in the past, if at all!
There’s a feeling within me that I keep relating back to a scene from the movie, Inception, which I blogged about recently. If you saw the movie, you may remember the scene that related to the deepest level of the subconscious where the buildings were turning to sand and crumbling. It feels like this, most especially over this past weekend, and certainly the experience of  the person who is very close to me whose reality shifted over this past weekend would agree!  I’m feeling it within and seeing it all around.  Not just in that person’s life, believe me.  Its happening everywhere.

The old structure of reality just isn’t working for us anymore and this can feel very destabilizing.
I was recollecting a time in my past, discussing it with a friend by phone earlier today. It was a time that is very familiar to the time we’re experiencing right now. Back then, I wanted to be told what to do and my lament in those days went something like, “If god and the angels or spirit guides or higher self (or whoever) will just show me what to do, I’ll do it!” I knew the old structure was changing back then just like I do right now! This went on for months actually.   I had a close spiritual friend at the time in those days who was saying the very same thing!

Then one fine day, I had a reading with my psychic teacher’s teacher and the very first thing out of his mouth was, “Joy, I am hearing to tell you that if you decide what you want to create, they will help you create it!” I was astounded that I had CHOICE. And I think that’s where we’re at right now—many of us anyway.

Some may know which particular reality they want to create and others don’t even know they have a choice about it in the first place.  Still others ‘do’ know that they have choice but don’t know what  choice to make.  The tendency will be to want to recreate a past that can no longer work.
The point I’m trying to make is that spirit guides, etc. – at these times of transition—will help us manifest and restructure, but won’t necessarily tell us what to do. They (higher mind) may show us options through daydreams and visions and work through the mouths of others around us to give a few suggestions. But it is up to us… it’s about CHOICE.
It was such a cold weekend here in the mountains laced with dampness and rain. My heating oil is getting low and I didn’t feel like feeding a fire all weekend. So, I went into one room with my laptop and a small electric heater and worked there.  Then I decided to reward myself with a movie. It was called The Nature of Existence. Essentially, this guy goes all over the world asking questions about why we’re here on Earth.

I bring it up because, as it is with me and movies, there was a message in it for me. One scene, just a few lines, keeps on sticking with me. The bottom line is that a man who viewed over 40 uncovered human bodies in a morgue was profoundly struck by the idea that the purpose of life is about CHOICE.   He said to himself, “Those people no longer have a choice, cannot make any more choices and he was filled with inspiration realizing that he still could!”

As long as we are incarnate in a living, breathing body, we have choice!
Part of our ability to surrender—relating back to today’s divination message from Neptune and the tarot card, Hanged Man—is necessary in order to be in a position to make a decision in the first place.

Today’s divination message goes something like this. Old structures are dissolving, changing, collapsing. Trying to hold on to them is futile and surrendering to the dissolving of the old patterns is necessary before you can get into a position of making the decision about what you wish to experience in the new reality that wants to take form but is waiting for your decision, your CHOICE.  Surrender to the old, let go of the old so that the new can be born.  Choice is breathing life into the energy available to us now.

Neptune dissolves boundaries in consciousness and dissolves those boundaries, period. That’s the archetype of the energy of Neptune.
The picture on the card of The Hanged Man of tarot feels like life is upside down and that is how it may feel for many of us in life right now. Look at what happened in Japan and how many said it felt surreal… that’s the energy exactly!

Life feels surreal for many people right now. In Japan, semi-trucks floating in the ocean and cars on top of houses… everything out of its normal place.  Dictators at the top of the pyramid are now falling — in more ways than one!

Neptune and The Hanged Man are giving the message today that this is a good time to go on a VISION QUEST!

Usual thinking must be reversed and new inspiration received. Our rigid viewpoints about reality need to be softened. Since Neptune rules the ocean, the sea, what I am “getting” that at this time it may not be a bad idea to connect with that ocean energy. Maybe have some sushi and/or a little kelp or seaweed. (I love seaweed salad from a good Japanese restaurant.) And there’s another reference to Japan and as I say that word, it triggers love and compassion for our brothers and sisters there.

If I lived near the ocean right now, I think that I’d go pick up some seaweed from the shore and maybe put it in a pouch to carry around with me for a while. It will help me remember not to resist and to be willing to reverse my thinking or see life from a different view-point.
No matter in which ways your boundaries and structures are changing, surrender to that and go on a VISION QUEST in some way, remembering it’s about CHOICE.
Breathe deeply.

I will repeat here now in conclusion that which I’ve been starting my weekly newsletter with:

“When the past is dying and the future has not yet emerged… These are times of astounding inner growth–hang in there!!”

PS– this past weekend the MOON (emotion) was crossing over PLUTO (transformation).  Those two energies merged.  And that emotionally (Moon) charged Pluto reacted with the T-square to Saturn in Libra (retrograde) which  is opposing nearly every planet in the book all in the sign of impulsive ARIES ( Jupiter, Mercury, Uranus, Sun and Mars–like I said, all in ARIES).   No wonder, eh?  But all that is whole other post! — maybe even a whole book!
