Evolution of my Psychic Medium Perspective

 This is a personal viewpoint

I have NOT stopped believing in our connections to other realities and the world of spirit containing spirit guides and/or deceased relatives. YET, at the same time as making that statement, it is clear to me that I don’t “go there” so much these days–at least not for myself anyway.  Why?  I ask myself this very question and hope this bit of writing will help sort it out.

Maybe it is because the clear advantage of being spiritually responsible for my own evolution in the here and now (which happens to be planet earth in this body/soul/consciousness) is my primary focus these days.  And I’m aging (like everyone is!) and as I get closer to the possibility of the ending of this form, this physical body, priorities change.

Maybe this happens to everyone and not just me — this I cannot say.  I haven’t taken a survey nor is there any interest on my part in doing so.  What has happened for me anyway is that I’m much more aware of what I’m supposed to do here — and one biggie has to do with remaining in a state of peace despite emotional challenges.  Can my departed parents or a spiritual entity in another dimension do this for me?  Spiritual evolution is personal — not that we can’t receive assistance when heartfelt and earnest request is made; but I’m here and while my parents and guides, et. al. are near and dear, I alone make the determined choice and effort to manage my own psyche with both feet on Mother Earth, here and now.

The last two words are key in what I’m attempting to express.  Here:  Earth Dimension  Now:  As I sit at my desk, in front of this keyboard in my living room.  It will do me no good to go talking to my deceased parents or a spirit entity right at this moment–in fact, it feels somewhat like co-dependent escapism to some extent to do so.

Now, this doesn’t mean that I don’t believe loved ones can communicate with us here upon Earth through someone who is open and receptive.  Yet, I think of it this way — my parents or spirit guides cannot live in this body with me and actually if I’m not careful,  their communication can become (if my focus is off) a huge distraction.

That said.  I’m aware that we are all at different points of consciousness evolution — none better than another.  To be clear, I’m not expressing that one person’s evolution in one direction is more or less advanced than another’s.  One thing that Soul Astrology has taught me is that we are all on particular paths with different karmic pasts.  Like snowflakes, we are all alike yet so very different, unique.

I am able to (somehow and I don’t know precisely how) connect in with the energy of persons, places and things whether here on Earth or elsewhere — most of the time if the need is great enough and I am clear enough at any give time.  Intention and compassion on my part to help another enables the clarity.  Yet,  it has become a lesser focus and direct mission in my life.

Rather, my own heart is drawn in other directions — more specifically in taking personal responsibility for my own energy and evolution.  This is a bit difficult to express and I am using this blog post to sort it out as I said.

Maybe I feel that I’ve exhausted that direction or gone as far down the path of psychic and medium types of personal seeking and have doubled back now to the main path — something like this anyway.

Once we discover a truth, there is no need to keep on; it becomes redundant.  In another way of saying that and being very, very blunt (but not unfeeling) about it, it becomes like this:   So what?  Our loved ones remain with us and can communicate and entities from other dimension exist and also communicate–all in helpful ways at times.  So what?  And while I realize that I am not really a separate entity apart from ‘All That Is’ and that in essence, this person (personality) called ‘me’ and this physical body doesn’t really exist apart from everything else on an ultimate level, they do conventionally.  Non-self is a helpful view to have while maintaining a conventional view in balance.  We exist, yet we don’t — if you will.

The question then becomes something having to do with questioning why conventionality exists in the first place and why challenges and difficulties exist here on Earth and what we do about them — are we to escape and ignore them or do we use them to help ourselves and others evolve in such ways that spiritual responsibility is taken for growth and evolution?  And how do we use the body and the mind-consciousness in such ways that enable us to realize a greater truth?  What truth?  Remaining in the ‘Here and Now’ while achieving and arriving at the Field of Peace while in this physical body/mind.  When one compares that goal to one that has already been reached which involves talking to the deceased loved ones or spiritual entities or guides . . . well, you see my point maybe?

In the end, through divination what are the angels and guides guiding us toward but back into our own self while understanding the non-self so that we can function in a peaceful way upon the Earth–that’s what it’s about for me now.  And while we are here helping others to do the same perhaps through example or maybe even through something like this rather long laborious blog post, its what we’re here to do.  Here and now.

Thus end my thoughts about this topic for now.

Spirit Guides, Soul Gardens, Soil Gardens ~ Growing from Seed and Transplaning

Nurturing Soil and Soul Gardens and Spirit Guide Co-Gardeners

On Spirit Guides, Soul Gardens, Soil Gardens ~ Growing from Seed and Transplanting

Plants, like people, need to gradually get accustomed to change; otherwise, plants get shocked, just like people do when exposed to sudden change. Hardening plants as they grow from seeds is how to avoid transplant shock–gradually introducing change. Introducing the newly sprouting plant to the new environment stages is the thing… bringing plants from inside to outside in stages. It usually takes time to become established–whether it a plant or a human that we’re talking about.

Good soil is important to survival too and when I relate that to the similarities to a human being, it comes down to spiritual teachings or understanding making the good soil in the human soul.

Plants are fragile when young. And people are fragile when adjusting to change and  having to sprout from new seeds… change in a human’s life is like a seed that is being asked to sprout. Right conditions and tender care and nurturing are important during early growth.  When sprouting and then transplanting–it’s like proper tending to young leafs and root.

It’s important when tending new growth that is just developing an early root system to use great care when first transplanted into larger containers.  People develop early root systems in new environments too whether those environments are emotional or physical, it’s important to not disturb the soil/soul too much or damage the early rooting process.  When it comes to people and my own life in particular, I realize in retrospect how these principals have played out as evidence of divine intelligence/spirit guides co-gardening some of the changes of my life.

It’s also important to not let the roots dry out–this is true with plants and humans alike. Continuing to nurture the roots… not allowing over-exposure to what is not nurturing… like poor soil and over-watering… the right about of water for a plant is important.  And with a human the right amount of whatever is nurturing to the soul is important too.

What nurtures the soil of your soul?

In my own case, what I find nurturing is a connection to nature and to meditation (preferably meditation in nature if possible) and also an environment of quiet as well as surroundings that I find attractive to the eye… pretty surroundings with plenty of daylight. My apartment has many windows and this is nurturing to my soul.

What one plant or flower finds nurturing may be different than the next–some like more water, some less and that type of thing. Humans also differ in what nurtures their soul and “SOIL”.

Interesting, isn’t it?  The slight difference in the spelling of the words … i and the o in those two words I mean.  Soul and soil– but both have such a similar meaning.

Sometimes plants can regenerate even if injured–people too. I wonder if our spirit guides assist in gardening our souls.

Do we, as humans, become exposed to harsh conditions on purpose and gradually in order to “harden” us to change so we grow better, just like how we humans do with our plants?

We may take the newly grown flower or plant once transplanted into a larger pot outdoors for only a few hours a day and only in shade and then gradually expose it to sun and then gradually to overnight temperatures or warmer daytime temperatures.

Did you know that removing lower leaves and burying things deeper in the soil helps the plant become more resilient and aids in its growth?

Similarities in plant life and human life

I’m learning about plants and flower planting from seeds right now and can really see how that relates to the human life and soul as it applies to growth and change in our human lives. Removing the lower leaves of a plant leads me to think of letting to of old baggage in a human life– releasing our past memories or experiences in order to acclimate successfully to the changes in life.

Do our guides clip those leaves? People sometimes loose a relationship or a job or sometimes both (those lower leaves) when they are growing the seeds of a new life.

How many times in one lifetime do we die and re-seed and become reborn?

I can see this so many times in my life—as if I’ve spawned new seeds a number of times in this one life.

Plants and flowers that are young need proper nutrition to prevent transplant shock and in our life when we have experienced changes we need to give ourselves proper nutrition too–in whatever way we nurture our soul and our body; we need to do that until we become stronger.

A gardener adds nutrients to the soil after transplanting and I think our spirit guides find ways to bring people, information, and circumstances into our lives at the right time, too, in order to nurture our souls so that we can grow stronger after change.

I think many times our spirit guides are the co-gardeners of our soul and that we should try our best to cooperate with the gardeners and through awareness also help garden ourselves. Don’t we talk to our plants and flowers? Many of us do! And I believe and know firsthand that our spirit guides talk to us too.  Why is this difficult to understand? They inspiring us to grow and to adjust and they teach us how to self-talk so that we can receive proper nurturing and nutrition.   Yes; this is how it is. I think so.

Sometimes plant wilt and when plants wilt sometimes they need more water and more shade many times too. (Of course we can over-water plants as well which speaks to proper balance.)  The human soul and spirit wilts sometimes too (and the body does as well through over fatigue sometimes; too much watering!)–and when these things happen, we tire of the struggle.

So what can we do?  When that happens to the plant or flower, the gardener removes it from the environment which is not agreeing with it and gives it more shade and more water or whatever is needed.  Humans can take a vacation or relocate and in that way it’s similar — or if that’s not possible, change the mind in some way.

Until we or our plant grow stronger and more resilient and until there is proper soil and surroundings we try different things.

Some gardeners when planting in the ground (from container to ground) which is done  after gradual acclimation to the outdoors when the plant is stronger… well, they plant flowers or plants in the ground late in the day so that they get accustomed to the overnight temperatures and wake up in their new place in the earth in the morning. Another new beginning.

Some seeds don’t make it of course. Some plants that are transplanted, don’t make it either. Bu the gardener learns through their failures.

Sometimes gardeners will direct-seed into the garden or the earth itself without growing it indoors firs in a greenhouse of some type beforehand. This can avoid transplant shock but the gardener has to know how that seed does in that soil and in that environment first. (Experience and book knowledge help.)

Maybe our spirit guides know us well and which of us can be directly transplanted into the garden or in human terms can just be planted right into the place where we are intended to grow and without needing gradual acclimation from one type environment to the next.

Have you ever been transplanted?

Do you ever feel like you’ve been a seed that sprouted and then dug out of the pod holder and planted into a new environment?  I sort of feel that way about some of my own recent moves in this location since I left the mountains. I’ve moved several times since seeding in this city.  Each apartment I lived in was a temporary container as my seed grew and perhaps I was being “toughened up or hardened” in order to survive in this environment.  Makes perfect sense to me!

We get ‘hardened’ as humans and as plants by growing in an environment that we simply have to deal with day in and day out.

Some plants can be directly sown outside — some are by nature more hardy or tough. Some of us can be direct seeded into the soil of our lives—some of us can just naturally deal with change easily or deal with suddenly moving to a new location or starting a new relationship or a new career without stress.  Some of us need gradual acclimation.  Sometimes we can wilt a little bit,  but can come back with a small amount of TLC.

I had one huge plant that I gave my daughter when I moved from the mountains because I simply had no room for it; it’s in a big pot that sits on the floor and takes up a good deal of space. We call it “grandpa” because I’ve had it for such a long time. Its fairly pot bound but we just don’t want it getting any bigger than it already is — so it needs a lot of water being a water loving plant by nature but because it’s mostly all roots and not much soil to hold moisture. Anyway, grandpa will easily wilt and look almost dead if not watered; YET, as soon as it gets a drink it stand up straight and salutes.  Only in a matter of hours! Some of us are like that plant I think.

Dropping seeds and re-blooming

Some plants will drop seeds and re-bloom again the next year, planting their own seeds so-to-speak. Tomatoes can be like that I hear (have never grown tomatoes so I don’t know firsthand) and Morning Glory flowers will drop their own seeds and come back again the next year too.  Regenerating themselves; that’s pretty cool. It’s like a plant having it’s children from generation to generation, isn’t it?

I have dropped my own seeds and those seeds have grown to drop seeds of their own; children and grandchildren. But those seeds need nurturing too and I’d like to think that I have become that human gardener to human seeds as a parent and grandparent.

Yet, I also know that I have had co-gardeners from higher places helping me.

Educated Gardeners

We can improve our gardening through education — just as I’m doing today as I learn about growing flowers from seed which inspired me to write this piece.

The human body, mind and soul are no different when speaking of educated gardeners. We can learn how to garden our children and of course our own self through education–through learning what helps us to grow stronger and more resilient and what kind of soil we need as well as how to acquire the proper nutrients.

Some gardens simply grow on their own, reseed themselves every year but still we must keep and eye for predators, pests, etc. Sometimes we have to rid ourselves of certain people or energy that damages our growth–it’s true, don’t you think? Just like we take precautions to protect our garden.

The life in your soil and the life in your soul

Gardeners say that it’s not just about the soil it’s about the LIFE IN YOUR SOIL.
I can realize how that this translates into the human condition as well. It’s not just about the soil it’s about the LIFE IN YOUR SOUL. What do we do to nurture that ‘soil’ and that ‘soul”–?

How do we unlock the nutrients within the ‘soil’ and in the ‘soul’?

If we are not in the perfect environment we can do things to condition that environment so that we can grow better within it. That’s a lot of what Feng Shui is about–“treating” the environment so that it is balanced so that we can unlock the nutrients of our “soul” like natural fertilizers (compost, etc.) can unlock the nutrients of the “soil”.

If the soil in the backyard of where someone lives is not conducive to what the gardener wants to plant, then the garden is created in an above the ground raised bed. You’ve seen that in gardens, right?  People will create a raised frame with wood or anything that creates a barrier to hold soil thereby creating a raised flower bed or garden area so that the gardener can control the proper soil.

In our lives we can do the same thing if we find we are on ground that isn’t naturally nurturing for us.

With any garden — the garden of our soul/psyche or the garden in our backyard or patio, we learn as we go and we learn as we grow.

I think spirit guides are learning too, right along with us. Can I prove that? No, but it makes sense to me; that’s all.

We are all growing and evolving as above so below, and as below so above too.

We learn as we grow!

Whether it is the earth garden or the garden of our own soul.

Waxing Gibbous Moon Phase – October 2014

waxing gibbous moon2

Well, here we are, in the Gibbous Moon Phase and the day Moon here is big and glorious!  One can see the sunset in the west and the moon in the east at days end!  Magical stuff really if you let yourself go there!   I mean linger in the view of the Moon and Sun, contemplate it, and really enjoy@!

Well, my Lunar enthusiasm gets me going–pardon.  Akhhemm, [clearing throat and getting serious now] so Gibbous Phase and in 3 days the Moon will be gloriously full.
The Waxing Gibbous Moon; the Separation from the Sun is now 135 – 180°

This is the last part of the waxing phase in the Lunar Cycle… after the Full (180°), the Moon begins to “wane” and the cycles are tagged with that word.   In the last phase [waxing First Quarter] the words ‘forewarned is forearmed’ and that was about the old shells of old energy that litters the field of consciousness and about repudiating the past [patterns of consciousness].  Commitment has been growing and takes hold fully in this phase.

In this Gibbous phase there may be feelings of partnership or teamwork which predominate and are very strong.  One may be very aware of more than one spirit guide present during psychic work; they’ve been there all along but now the Sun shines upon them within our consciousness.   The psychic may feel a full-on commitment to their work.   There may be a stronger than usual impulse to engage with the world in some type of service and commitment therein becomes solidified. There is that feeling that comes with this type of inner dialogue now:   ‘Okay, now I know for sure I’m on the right path and I know what I’m doing and where I’m going or at least I know what I need to do now.’

We should all be feeling that to some extent as the Moon grows fuller over the next few days.  This phase happens once a month–so you haven’t miss it if you and NOT reading his in the October 2014 timing.  Save these posts and revisit the Moon phases again next month.  The greatest thing about the Lunar cycle is that it’s monthly!  Anyway…

There is a strong awareness now of needing others to do psychic work—both those in spirit world and in the human realms.  A little self-analysis at this time goes a long way.   The psychic work here may be adjusted and tweaked or the psychic may consider doing the work just a little bit differently than in the past.

Now we have ‘gone over the waterfall’ so-to-speak and we are independently and fully committed to what we intended during the New Moon several weeks ago [ on September 24th to be exact ].  Whether we were conscious of it or not, the New Moon energy set something into motion [positive or negative] and now we have it clearly before us in one way or another.

Co-operation is a key word for this lunar phase as well as co-creation.  The desire underlying motivation toward this co-operation with others and they with us is fellowship–networking, team players and meaningful connections are expected now.

RED FLAG WISDOM:  A red flag in this phase is that because we are so willing to compromise and create with others, those who like to take advantage for their own purposes can do so too easily — so discernment is also highly associated with this phase of the Moon.  Not being to gullible or trusting or naive–because we have a natural feeling now to co-operate with others, if we don’t use discernment, we can become victims.  Everyone wants to be loved and appreciated but there are those who will use that to their own advantage, so that’s one thing to know and be aware of at this time.  Word to the wise as they say.

In this Waxing Gibbous Phase, the Sun and Moon are 4 or 5 signs apart. This months’ Gibbous Phase cycle began at 15° Aquarius.  The same element–thus the cooperation.  Aquarius is an Air sign and so is Libra where the Moon was when this cycle began–two air signs co-operate well.

So the Sun and Moon are at ease and in accord and the energy now can be easily harnessed.

Astrologer Dane Rudhyar says that people who are born with their Moon in this phase are eager to contribute meaningfully to society and they may devote their life to a cause.  People born in this Virgo-type cycle (ruled by Mercury) have keen minds and a way of connecting the dots with ideas.

Verbal abilities will be strong now with the Sun/Moon relationship being in air signs.

The Gibbous phase allows for adjustments and preparation.  Personally, I’ve felt that part most of all–the need for preparation.  I’ve been getting paperwork together, making photocopies and doing that Virgo-type thing that is associated with that intention that I had back at the New Moon and that I’ve received hints will be manifesting.  I got a call during the New Moon and was told what paperwork is needed and while the Moon was in this phase I’ve had a strong pull to get that done.  Like I said, preparation and adjustments are a strong part of this Mercury ruled phase.

We can be doing self-analysis in this phase too–that’s part of the internal adjustment mentioned above and thus, humility is associated with this phase as well.  And personally I must add the word “awe” to this phase from my own perspective.  Gemini-like internalization leading to action.

There is an inner feeling of wanting to be prepared so that there is no rejection on any level in the next phase  Feelings of inferiority need to be conquered in this phase and one will be helped in many ways to feel worthy in preparation for the upcoming Full Moon energy–that is if during the Waxing First Quarter phase one didn’t let doubt crumble the structure or get tripped up in the wasteland of old patterns.

In this phase the self talk must be similar to these types of words and phrases:  “I deserve this.  It is not too much to ask.  I don’t listen to other people’s criticisms and have confidence and I do not defer to others.  I am worthy–equal, deserving.  I have good karma.  I am prepared.  Everything will go well.  I remain humble yet deserving.”

I have not revealed on the blog what seeds I planted during the New Moon–not yet or many not ever.  I am keeping that under my hat for now–at least for now.

See you at or after the Full Moon:  15° Aries!  October 8th, 2014, Wednesday.

When the Moon transits the 12th house

Moon in the 12th House

The Moon is transiting my 12th house right now as I finish up this blog series of Luna through the houses during her monthly jaunt through the zodiac.  Compassion, unconditional love, innocence, openness, the hermit, the mystic, the spiritual healer–we rarely hear those archetypes spoken of regarding the 12th.  Ominous–that’s instead what you hear about the 12th.  The house of Halloween, trick or treat and ‘things that go bump in the night’–the places in our life where things that are freaky, scary, sorrowful, sad, happen.  Where we are in isolation, on the edge of the abyss!  Confusion, distortion, escapism–those are a few more word associations for this part of life that is ruled by Neptune/Pisces.  Jails, prisons, institutions–that too comes through the astrological grapevine about the 12th. The motion of the energy of Neptune and Pisces is inward and on the highest level represents the totality of consciousness, universal mind and the collective unconscious.  People who are comfortable here are often though of as crazy and end up being institutionalized in some way, thus the connection with jails, prisons and institutions.  The feelings of being alone and cut off; some folks are actually comfortable in that state and relish it, thrive in it.  It’s the area of “mind”. Personally, I think we could look at the 12th house in someone’s birth chart and get a feel for what type of “mind” or inner-consciousness the person has—if there is such a thing as a “mind type”.   I say that in a very general way since of course there can be more than one sign in a house, intercepted signs, and planets with their aspects.  But right now we are talking about the Moon as she transits through the 12th, so better stick to that topic and not wander off as Luna in 12 tends to do. 🙂

Pisces/Neptune’s association with the Universal Mind can lend the 12th the flavor of faith an inspiration–perhaps god-consciousness if you will.  The archetype of Neptune/Pisces also correlates with the 3rd eye/pineal gland.  There’s hypersensitivity here as Luna moves through the 12th–and since that Neptune/Pisces has no boundaries (the archetype of totality), the Moon here could have a person feeling like a psychic-sponge.

If a person has a highly pronounced Neptune/Pisces signature in the chart or is born with a number of planets in the 12th house and does not understand the energy or perceive the self as a spiritual being then mental illness or psychic distortions can occur.

Pisces/Neptune and 12th house energy relates to addictions–using substances rather than spiritual means in an attempt to reach a transcendent and peaceful state.  Nervous breakdowns due to oversensitivity to everything expressing as feelings of being deeply lost, confused and disillusioned.  Yet, the sensitivities of the 12th house can engender deep compassion, love, openness, innocence and result in the mystic, the healer, the teacher.  One will find it necessary to be hermit like with the sensitivities carried when the 12th is stimulated.

I have 3 planets in my 12th house and currently Jupiter is transiting here along with the Moon.  Usually a Moon in the 12th increases all my senses but add Jupiter to the mix which further intensifies and expands everything within it’s reach… adding the sign of Cancer on this cusp and we have some strange tasting emotional tea!  Yet the ability to feel unconditional love for self and others is very acute right now.

As I type these words the Moon/Jupiter conjunction is sitting right on my natal Pluto/Saturn conjunction in my 12th house.  I do have the feeling of wanting to escape and moments of feeling borderline crazy surge between other moments of seeing how it all is here on Earth for all of us and tears form in my eyes and start to roll down my cheek.  The feeling of being a stranger in a strange land are usually part of my psyche but are more acute than usual, more pronounced.

When the Moon transits the 12th, the emotional desire is to recognize that spiritual growth is the main purpose of life and other factors that do not fit into or match that desire tend to fall by the wayside.

The Moon transiting the 12th house causes a person to feel strong psychic undercurrents and the energy of others.  Luna, the Queen of Mystery, here in the last house picks up on all subtle energy influences.

There will be a desire within the emotional body to find some way to commune with the deep psyche’, with God if-you-will, and to go deep into the soul.  There will be an inner call to withdraw, to escape in some way from the world of others and mundane existence.  It will be easy to become psychically overwhelmed.

When the Moon transits the 12th house it is a good time for a retreat, a rest, to be quiet and to figure out what is going on.  Examining motivations and emotions and trying to bring into conscious some of what has previously been unconscious.

The 12th house is the house of uncertainty and faith at the time of a lunar transit here faith is a priority because natural uncertainty takes a big emotional hit from the Moon; therefore there is a natural vulnerability to worries, fears, doubts and unavoidable obstacles. Deeply felt anxieties can be triggered by the Moon transiting the 12th but it is also the time when we are most sensitive to the messages from the unconscious or from universal mind (spirit guides, angels, etc.).

The 12th house archetype includes a naked vulnerability but this nakedness and innocence can be a huge source of power–the ego cannot exist well here.  The conscious and unconscious mind being as one is where, if it’s going to happen, it’s going to be in the 12th house.  Letting to and trusting the divine–having faith–not attempting to control a single thing!  That’s the only way to negotiate the 12th house.  (And I speak, again, from experience having 3 powerful natal planets aspect-ing my lunar nodes.)  Trust me when I speak from firsthand experience about the 12th house.

One benefit of the 12th house is that we can see humor in the chaos if we can just “go with it” without the ego expressing anything.  My sister said to me a little while ago as we spoke by phone about some difficulty I am personally experiencing these words:  “…it’s all in the mind.”  Hearing that from her when I actually teach this stuff–at first i wanted to cry and then after a few moments burst out laughing at the ludicrous reality and non-reality of that little comment.  So there’s a little 12th house joke for ya’.

It is also thought that the life-force seems to be a bit diminished in the 12th house; so we may find a weakened immune system when this house is active.  It is thought that the body’s natural defenses to bacteria is lowered.
Along with the 4th and the 8th houses, the 12th forms what is called the OCCULT TRIANGLE and favors mysticism and as mentioned psychic sensitivities are acute here:  i.e. the claire sisters (clairvoyance, clairaudience, and clairsentience).  Moon moving through the 12th house is a good time to meditate and to divine information i.e. to do “readings” and spirit message work.

Sorrow and unhappiness through confinement is an archetype well-known in this house so feelings of entrapment and/or mental bondage can happen if this house is not being negotiated well;  those feelings come from ego and the flip side of that coin is spirit.  This, too, is the house of ‘hidden enemies’ it is said and this comes from the abuse of drugs or fantasy and then one feels that suicide is the way to escape the difficult feelings that can arise here.

We also hear of the 12th house as being the house of karma–mostly that which is created from the conflict between ‘my will’ versus ‘Divine Will’; thus we also hear that the 12th house is the house of ‘surrender’ or letting go’.

Moon in the 12th adds to the intense fluctuation of emotion and a person feeling the effects of the Moon moving through their 12th house can feel lost, vulnerable and unsupported. This may, of course, be real or it may be imaginary and it relates usually to family since the Moon rules Cancer and the 4th house of the ‘home’ and ‘family’.   So what is the answer to these feelings?  Well, the opposite of Moon is Saturn which relates to boundaries and there must be a willingness to let go of people, even family.

Personally, I find that to balance out my 12th house which contains Cancer with Leo is to turn to the polarity–6th house and Capricorn with Aquarius.  Often times, for me, that means writing–such as writing this blog post today!

Jupiter will remain in my 12th intensifying and expanding all my 12th house natal energy, so as for me Luna’s exit tomorrow morning will not be the end of it for me, but perhaps the emotional aspect will decline a bit.  Jupiter hangs out in my 12th house until next summer — what with its retrograde business and all that jazz.  They said Jupiter is the planet of luck, good fortune and I’m ready for some (more) of that! 🙂  Meanwhile, counting blessings, feeling grateful in all ways that I can and yep–work and boundaries!  Writing always helps and one of my natal 12th house planets is transiting my 3rd right now–writing therapy but always with humanitarian flare is how it goes for me.

( By the way sister, if you are reading this, when Jupiter entered my 12th house is when we became roommates. )

And I offer this to others with a loaded 12th house (like myself) where Jupiter may also be transiting with the Moon today.  Or for anyone who may find this post on the search engines in an effort to understand the Moon, the 12th house and Lunar Transits, especially when the Moon moves through the 12th house!

May something here help you with self-understanding. Amen!

Archangel of Intuition, Joy, Venus, the Moon and Astrology – Meet Haniel

Archangel Haniel by Joy Star
Archangel Haniel

Recently, I was inspired (from the Angels?) to write about them in this week’s newsletter which was about the association of Archangels with Planets, Sun signs, and then obviously with the astrological signs.  That’s when I thought to look up the Archangel associated with my own sun sign. This blog post is the result of that data search and my thoughts about it….

Archangel Haniel is considered to be the Angel of Intuition and clairvoyance and is linked through the planet Venus ruling Taurus and Libra.

She also oversees astrology and spiritual healing.

She is also, it is said, thought to be the angel of “JOY”.

The lantern of joy has the power to bring light into any circumstances, no matter how dark they may be.  Haniel is sometimes pictured holding a lantern.

Haniel “brings harmony and balance wherever she goes” (Libra is always seeking harmony and balance), she is the Angel that, it is also said, reminds you to find fulfillment from within rather than trying to find happiness from outside yourself.

I am a Libra Sun (Haniel rules Venus and therefore the signs Taurus and Libra).   I relate and feel a connection (very much so) to Archangel  Haniel.

Thinking back, its no wonder that my spirit guides assigned the name “Joy”  to me decades ago; long before I knew anything about archangels. It makes perfect sense now and that realization gives me chills!

I was born with many planets in the Venus-ruled sign of Libra including Venus itself along with my Sun, Moon and Neptune.  Is it any wonder that this “joy angel”,  who is so often depicted with a smile on her face, is linked so strongly to me with my birth occurring with so many planets in Libra, imprinting my soul with Haniel energy?

In my psychic class I mention that everyone has a “joy guide” –this whole “joy guide” thing being something that I was taught by my own psychic trainer from the beginning.  My instructor never mentioned the name Haniel,  but I was enthralled and enchanted by the idea of a joy guide back then and now pass on the information about having a “joy guide”  to my own psychic development students.

If you see green or turquoise light around you, Haniel may be nearby, say believers.  Looking back at the colors on my website and newsletter now, I do wonder if Haniel may have had her influence when I chose those colors for my web pages.

I am her, she is me, we are one.

Turquoise is a balanced blend of green and blue. It helps to develop our unique individuality. It is the New Age of Aquarius that encourages us to seek spiritual knowledge.

Haniel is said to have a special connection to the Moon (me too!)   If there was an Archangel associated with ASTROLOGY, it would be her–or at least this is the case based upon the numerous websites and books that I’ve referenced.

I feel her smile and joy growing within me today and will carry her on my shoulder today by thinking of her often and asking her to penetrate my life with more of her energy.

Fear can be the guru that helps awaken but will it ever go away? Dealing with fear and The Two Truths

What if it doesn't work out?
What if I don’t have enough?

Last evening after a ‘house-tidy’ and a glance at the bills and monies, that last part tickled and awakened ‘the familiars’ that rest in the stomach pit area; and while they are definitely weakening as I age, they don’t seem to cease entirely.  And maybe they never will.   I’ve learned to live with their now-and-again visits, those familiars!

What do those fear-familiars want?  I think to be acknowledged, recognized for the purpose of deeper realization and awakening.

“Okay”, I say, “but just for a little while and then I’m going out the door for a walk.”

I knew it would work–the walk. That was my intuition, my inner guide making that known.

It was a brisk, windy October night and it could not have been clearer to me that I needed to walk out the door after I dealt with them.

I think it was teacher Ajahn Chah who said that it is okay to get some control of where your mind goes by shouting at yourself.  I’m not into that exactly,  but I get the point he was trying to make about discipline of the mind–in fact I’ve been writing about that in my blog and newsletter lately.

What’s the point of being here in this reality in these (many times) trying circumstances?  And don’t’ forget we have beautiful experiences too which balance them out.   And actually the idea overall or what is recommended by the spiritual teachers is to take neither polarity too seriously, meaning the good or the bad–not getting attached to either one.  Good times, bad times—attach to neither.

Oh, here’s another example.  For instance, we can take love and hate–those polarities too.  We suffer if we attach too greedily to either emotion.  If we attach excessively to family, lovers and friends, when there is death or change (and there inevitably is—remember about impermanence?), this turns to suffering.  So that’s what I mean.  Not saying we shouldn’t love one another but not in extreme ways.

Well, getting back to it now….  the point of or purpose of these fear guru’s in our lives  (and yes, fear can be our teacher)  is to teach us—remind us really because we already know this but forgot—about the impermanence of life and those things that we over-identify with  which aren’t real yet when we think they are.  And that, in a nutshell, causes our suffering.

For me it always brings me back to the two truths of conventional and ultimate reality–with that understanding the mind becomes comfortable and at peace.

We, in our conversations with our fear, realize that we become attached to seeing our life a certain way and then we become attached to that view, you see?  We can explain that to our fears and they say, “Thank you, we simply forgot.”

Circumstances that are difficult help us to awaken; otherwise we would remain in blissful sleep.  Life difficulties help us to work through and work out those issues that keep us from developing virtue.

Yeah, and that reminds me of it.  Of what?  One of my early channeling sessions my communication was spirit involved my question—why are we here?  What’s the purpose?  And the answer I received seemed too simple then and I nearly discarded it but always kept it on a shelf in my mind and over the years with all my spiritual study and life experience (today I have reached my double 6 birthday, so I have a little of that)… anyway, in all that I’ve studied and lived that answer, being here to develop virtue, makes more-and-more sense.  It gets clearer every year—virtue.  Like what?  Well, patience is a virtue and what are some of the rest?

Well, here’s the great Benjamin Franklin’s list of virtues:

  1. TEMPERANCE. Eat not to dullness; drink not to elevation.
  2. SILENCE. Speak not but what may benefit others or yourself; avoid trifling conversation.
  3. ORDER. Let all your things have their places; let each part of your business have its time.
  4. RESOLUTION. Resolve to perform what you ought; perform without fail what you resolve.
  5. FRUGALITY. Make no expense but to do good to others or yourself; i.e., waste nothing.
  6. INDUSTRY. Lose no time; be always employ’d in something useful; cut off all unnecessary actions.
  7. SINCERITY. Use no hurtful deceit; think innocently and justly, and, if you speak, speak accordingly.
  8. JUSTICE. Wrong none by doing injuries, or omitting the benefits that are your duty.
  9. MODERATION. Avoid extremes; forbear resenting injuries so much as you think they deserve.
  10. CLEANLINESS. Tolerate no uncleanliness in body, clothes, or habitation.
  11. TRANQUILITY. Be not disturbed at trifles, or at accidents common or unavoidable.
  12. CHASTITY. Rarely use venery but for health or offspring, never to dullness, weakness, or the injury of your own or another’s peace or reputation.
  13. HUMILITY. Imitate Jesus and Socrates.

Well that gives you one idea–there are many virtues.

Developing the virtues is basically about being the best human you can be–which isn’t as easy as it sounds.  Anyway..,.

Going back to the topic here, let me add that it helps for me to think in terms of the reasons for what is happening; and so then I think difficulties are there to help awaken us to the ultimate reality, otherwise we may never get it.

So my glance at the bills and money situation ultimately caused a moment of remembering and deeper awakening thanks to the tea with the fear gurus.

And then I bounced down the steps and out the door into the night air, breathing deeply into the wind, shaking my shoulders.  I shook my head too in order to wobble and jiggle away the tears that had been forming behind the throat and eyes.

I walked into the darkness having another conversation…. this time with my inner guide, my wisdom guru.  Although I remained a bit unsteady emotionally for a while, that was further remedied by my guide (after our talk) then suggesting a pop-in surprise visit with my sister and niece.  So I walked to their door and knocked.   We caught up with things and then ordered pizza (which was not that good for my trim and slim goals) yet was totally and completely soul-satisfying.  I must say the Pizza Hut pineapple pizza was excellent and thoroughly enjoyed each bite!  So…
What’s the moral of the story?

I think that the old seeds and old fear habits are always there, but that’s not  “who we are” since essentially there is no self.  And because that is so, those seeds and habits are just life being what life is—the nature of human existence.

Our body and emotional nature contain those habits because we are human, but we don’t have to over-identify with it all.

Why?  Because ultimately there is no self.

But while we are here in human form we still make efforts to be the best human we can be.  How do we do that?  Where and when distress appears we do our best to transcend it.  It is called transcending the world and destroying delusions.

“No mud, no lotus”—this is a saying that we could translate into “No fear/distress, no awakening”.   You disagree?  You say your life is nothing but total bliss and you’ve reached enlightenment 24-7?  Hmmmm….. give that one a bit more thought because you may be simply asleep.  Just sayen’.

Earth living and it’s downers are what keep us having realizations, keep us awake, help us to learn to breathe in and out in the present moment, releasing attachment, aversions, fears.  One does get to have time-outs, rest periods, of course; but then it seems to come again for us on deeper levels like peeling layers of an onion.

Don’t get too full of ego and mistake the rest and recovery period for enlightenment–through observation it seems to me that the universe loves nothing more than to crush smug ego’s.

Maybe that’s why those ‘familiars’ don’t seem to completely ever go away, they’re always there lurking–to help us stay aware, remain humble, and so that we do not fall into lazy patterns (see above paragraph).

But none of this is who I am… the “I AM” that is beyond, beyond, completely beyond just observes this and smiles.

Further, I don’t need to become attached either way and that’s where the peace is located–in that place of non-attachment.

No aversion, no attraction.

Yes, yes, we have to deal with that which everyone else (and a part of us) agrees is conventionally real, but ultimately none of it exists.  Outwardly we have to agree; after all, when my rent is due (which is the thought that started this blog post!), I cannot go into the rental office to tell the Lords of the Land that ultimately neither they, nor I, nor the apartment itself exists and therefore, I don’t need to pay my rent.  Outwardly I have to agree, but inwardly I know the truth.  That’s the “pickle” (as the saying goes) that many of us light-workers (as they call us) live within.

Fear guru’s help us to remember these things.  My personal fear guru?  Oh, he’s much gentler and kinder than he used to be; but still I don’t like his presence at any time whatsoever!  Yet, the tea and cookie that I give him and little talk we have seems to comfort him (and me too-wink!) so that then we can resume the life-game here with greater ease!

Let the games begin!—that is what I say to myself when I wake up in the morning sometimes, mostly when I’m not so afraid.

Loved ones on the other side can get messages to us through taking over the consciousness and bodies of small animals

Okay, I will.  Pardon that.  It was just me speaking to The Universe or to that Inner Voice, call it “spirit guide” if you will or maybe my very own soul but there is this energy that I converse with.  Talking to myself? Nawh, it’s much more sophisticated than that; although I do plenty of that as well.  On that last part… file it under ‘Hazards of Living Alone’.

Anyway, as soon as I saw this picture this morning – I didn’t take the photo but I do receive certain photos each day.  In any case, busy as I am (like a one-armed paper hanger) this photo arriving today is no accident and I have to share this little story.  I’ll be brief.

The bottom line is that loved ones on the other side can take over the body-minds of animals.  There’s the romantic story (true story/one of my clients) of a couple who loved a song about a rare colored dragon fly and actually had a conversation previous to her sudden death which related to the song about dying.  She was in previously perfect health and suddenly died very quickly and he, weeks later was about to take his own life when a rare colored dragon fly, the same color as the one in the song, came to him and held to his window in rare dragon fly behavior.  This convinced him not to take his own life. The song was one that was Japanese, if I remember correctly.

The history of doing readings reveals many similar stories.  My own mother assured me that she would get messages to me after she crossed over and while she did come to me hours after her crossing and a few times since, the spring after she crossed a female cardinal tapped incessantly at my windows (notice the plural—the s) from late winter until late spring day after day!  It’s a wonder this female cardinal’s beak didn’t fall off and this bird followed my whereabouts in the house; she knew where in the house I was and would tap on the window where I was.  That starting each morning on my bedroom window to wake me up and moving to the kitchen window to tap her beak while I made my coffee!  And then she’d follow me room to room.

Okay, you get the idea now, right?  We lost our father when he was in his early 50’s and my sister was around 12 years old at the time.  She was talking to someone about how she never really grieved and she was on the phone with me when this bunny showed up at my feet.  (Not the one in the photo in this blog post—a different one)  I was outside along the side of the house on the portable phone speaking to her while waiting for someone to come to the house when this bunny rabbit hopped toward me and stopped a foot away from me and stared up at me!

That is very rare behavior for jumpy, quick, easily startled rabbits!  I kept talking and this bunny still did not startle and held its gaze and movement.  Speaking to it I said, “What is it? What do you want?”  And so clearly and loudly that I, myself, nearly startled the reply in my head that came was, “I am here to comfort her.”

I had just been saying in reply to her question about who comforted her when our father died that Dad, himself, comforted me regarding his death by coming to me in a dream.  And my sister said she has never dreamt about our Dad.

Well, you see how that is?  That was my Dad speaking through that bunny rabbit—to get my attention on behalf of my sister.  She is open to my work and these types of things but takes it with a huge grain of salt if you know what I mean.  I sensed that she half believed me or that I was exaggerating the occurrence; but there it was nonetheless.

Loved ones on the other side can get messages to us through taking over the consciousness and bodies of small animals.  I’ve not a single doubt.

How to Communicate with Spirit Guides – Divined Answer Using Cartomancy – Queen Spades, Queen Hearts, 5 Diamonds

Queen of Spades, Queen of Hearts, 5 of Diamonds

Do the cards give me the answer? It comes through my intuition and the cards trigger it. I wrote about this to some minor degree in this week’s newsletter. I wrote it today; it goes out tomorrow—as usual on Thursday.

I was just cleaning up my email which is a non-stop job anymore; like doing laundry and mowing the lawn. Life, in these areas, is endless and life is joyful (or not) depending upon one’s attitude about it—so I have learned. In the process of cleaning up the Email, I thought that I’d multitask. A young person wrote to me wanting more detail about how to communicate with spirit guides. The person wrote that they read the article on my website but would like more detail. So, why not ask the card oracle for help?

I will pull three (3) cards of a deck of regular playing cards—a method called cartomancy—and will use these cards to help the young inquirer with more detail. I’m new at the cartomancy method; let’s see how this goes.

QUEEN OF SPADES

Well, this is about truth isn’t it? And this kind of truth comes via the “school of hard knocks” so-to-speak. I just can’t help it, the Queen of Swords Tarot card (Spades are Swords) always speaks to me of truth seeking or having one’s personal truth that comes via life experience. One thing I could say here is that since the person who asking the question is young (he/she gave an age in their email) is that life experiences will be instructive as it applies to the question—with age comes the experience of detail itself. Symbolically, spades have to do with digging (think shovel) and so what I want to say using keywords is about digging for truth and perhaps I could say to this young person that it is important to dig for the truth about spirit guides and what psychic communication really is in the first place.

Cartomancy says this is a female with black hair. I would think that the Queen of any suit would be a wiser, older woman. One way that this person could receive more details about spirit guide communication would be to find a mentor; an older female to help and perhaps this older female will have dark hair. Whether the hair color is important or not may not be so relevant these days when so many females color their hair; the more important thing is that this older female (Queen of Spades) have some personal experience in the areas that are important to our inquisitor. Maybe this is a reflection of the person Emailing me since I do have experience and teach classes. It is why the class was written—it’s more effective than teaching one-on-one. I might also suggest that this person already possesses wisdom and knowledge in this area that has already been developed—the person wrote that they do receive some communication but would like to have more communication. In other words, I could say that there is already a wise-woman within you who has the answers to your questions about how to receive more detailed information about how to further communicate with spirit guides. I may direct her to pay more attention to her inner world and to connect with her own inner wise woman—to develop a belief in that inner wisdom is most important and the rest comes after that.

Pardon the pronoun usage–she/he — you do the translation as needed, alright?

QUEEN OF HEARTS

Well, what do you know?! It’s another Queen—this time the Queen of Hearts. In instant cartomancy terms we have an older mature woman – this time, one who is blonde. Hair color aside, this is a very empathic, compassionate, sensitive and sometimes very emotional female. The suit of Cups is represented by hearts in the Tarot system. We could suggest to the inquirer that she find role models who have experience communicating with the other side (Queen of Swords) and who have learned a few things the hard way and developed their own personal truth. All of that is the Queen of Swords archetype. And we would also say as another role model to find someone to help her who is kind, compassionate, empathetic and already comfortable with using her intuition–The Queen of Hearts/Cups.

It appears that the Oracle here is suggesting that she find role models and from them she will receive the answer to his/her question about learning in more detail. A mentor can answer one-on-one questions. But even if that is not possible, this person could watch videos on YouTube or read books from the library that were perhaps written by psychics. I would suggest to this person to read the little book by Ted Andrews called How to Meet and Work with Spirit Guides. This person is someone who would fill the shoes of both Queens. Now, let’s turn over the last card and see what we have…

FIVE OF DIAMONDS

The first thing that comes to me is about change – 5’s always makes me think of change. Oh, and I am laughing here because that is what is written on the card itself now that I look at it. (When I took a class in cartomancy which was ‘like a hundred years ago’, I wrote meanings on the cards. What I am getting here is to look for new ideas, new ways to communicate—not just through “hearing”. Spirit guides will communicate through numbers, songs on the radio, animal behavior and they will even speak through other people’s mouths. What the young person who wrote to me needs to do is to realize that and open up to receiving communication from guides in more than one or two ways. I think the mistake that people make when they first begin to awaken is that they try to control the system. It’s not about controlling the system of the divine… it’s about being in harmony with it! That’s a completely different approach and so turning those ideas inside out in such a way that one is not asking how they can control or dominate the conversation or communication but rather how they can become the antennae to pick up the signal. That realization comes with maturing and life experience.

Another thing that I might say to the person who emailed me is that he/she is not alone and that other kids are out there who are having the same questions. It may help the person to talk to his or her friends and see that others are in the same circumstance. The cartomancy hand out says, “Happy family” and “Success in Business”. I’m not sure how business success would apply to our question here but there may be issues of family for our inquirer to consider. Perhaps he/she would like to think of spirit guides as her happy family as to not feel so alone. It is important to connect with an earth family and earth friends too and not live too much in one world or other – in other words, balancing earth world with spirit world and not having one family be more important than the other. If one’s family isn’t open to these matters, perhaps friends are and one can make a small family-like community with these common interests. Balance is important; we mustn’t lose touch with our earth life.

Lastly, there may be something that this individual needs to change in order for the communication to increase or further. Perhaps this change has to do with learning to develop inner stillness. Sometimes we are being communicated with more than we realize and until we still our mind we cannot realize it. Dreams can be important also in communicating change or what needs to be changed for increase awareness to happen.

WE are only as cut off and alone as we believe that we are. Inner values must be honored and embraced and acknowledged and we don’t have to run around telling everyone about it; it’s an inside job for the most part. Except for the 5 of Diamonds happy family you let in once you make any needed changes so that inner stillness can occur. The fact that you are asking these types of questions at such a young age is very encouraging. I didn’t start such inquiry in myself until much later in life. You’ve got such a great head start. Find mentors or read Ted Andrews book and then make some friends with similar interests and compare notes – experience will be your very best teacher.

PS – see in the image on the tarot card how the person is outside of the church/stained glass windows?  This symbolism indicates that all you have is within you; there’s no need to feel like an outsider.  Not only that, you probably won’t find the answers you are looking for inside a church!

(And they say the Universe has no sense of humor! – really?!)
