Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Libra with players Pluto, Uranus and Jupiter – How it plays out

Full Moon Lunar Eclipse (Blood Moon) - April 4, 2015
Full Moon Lunar Eclipse (Blood Moon) – April 4, 2015

Today – It’s a super charged Full Moon (April 4, 2015) in Libra!  What can this mean? Here’s my version…

But is it only today that we may feel (Moon/emotion) the effects?  No; it’s more or less a theme that’s been occurring at least since the last eclipse (Solar a few weeks ago, March 20).

Something shifted around that time, perhaps ended—a change; a new way of BE-ing may have occurred for you.

And now, that’s associated with a new beginning.

Don’t’ get hung up on the exact dates; instead just think about something that may have occurred in the life 2 or 3 weeks ago (or even  a month or so ago) that set you up for the new phase that this eclipse is heralding—new beginning; new way of seeing things; new way of being in the world; new chapter in the life.  (We can experience the effects of an eclipse months before and months after–or so they say and so I’ve personally observed.)  But what are the key factors we can realize now?

Relationship is the key word with this energy and if you’re like me—happy to be in relationship with Self with a capital S (Higher Self) and with Divine Being you may, like me, be seeing life in a whole new light.  That should be a capital L really in the word Life—meaning All That Is and of course all that isn’t and the space in between.

Of course, we’d also have to mention personal one-on-one relationships with family, friends, life partners too which may be taking on a whole new meaning right about now and over the next few months.

This is no ordinary placement.  The Sun is conjunct Uranus and T-squaring Pluto.  What a mixture!   Moon, Uranus in Aries, the Libra Sun and tossed into that we also have the Capricorn Pluto – better not reference tossing Pluto, Lord of the Underworld, anywhere– it’s he who does the tossing.  LOL

Sun in Aries wants freedom and the ability to do it’s own thing regarding its purpose in life and the planet Uranus is empowering that Sun to go for it! As I see it, the planets and luminaries are setting up that theme when the Sun/Uranus opposes Moon and squares Pluto.

To me that configuration indicates  finding freedom in our life in a new way–one which challenges our feelings of security or actually enhances those feelings to create transformational (Pluto, the transformer) attitudes or views regarding how we relate to others and/or to Life Itself.  Pluto is quite psychological and so we could sense here a new psychology in your life–perhaps a highly personal one that creates a new beginning.

Can you see or feel how this can be playing out in your life now?  And how it has been occurring for some time now?

Jupiter plays a part in this attitudinal, emotional energy merger and change of view too. Jupiter, the great benefic, is highly focused via it’s retrograde motion.  It’s moving through Leo now.   And now its making an aspect to the other players, bringing with it a sense of playfulness and joy and mostly FUN.   That’s the energy that influences and balances this new attitude and way of be-ing that is taking shape and changing our lives right now.

May the blessings of Jupiter be yours and may you find the freedom and harmony in your life that brings the new freedom/ liberation of contented happiness with the influence of this eclipse both now and over the next 6 months!

Meaning of the New Moon in Aquarius January 20, 2015 and the Aquarian in Your Life and The Chariot with Queen of Cups

New Moon times.  Could these be times in which the door to the psyche is open for us to enter and redirect our play just a little bit–at least emotionally?  And is it a time for us to create and debate and elevate as well as fixate about our emotional nature?  New Moon times could be  the most important part of our creative nature since it sets the tone for how we interpret the world.  Each month the dye is cast so-to-speak by our response to life at the New Moon time.  If we could mark the time and be aware of it, we could control the nature of the dye we cast for the upcoming 28’ish to 30-day lunar cycle.

If you happen to know  the house that the New Moon is in (for you), you can derive more insight from the vibes but even if you don’t know that information, it’s still beneficial to open to setting a new tone for your emotional responses to life.    (If you should happen to know what house 0° Aquarius falls in your natal chart, this will give you an idea for the areas of your life that will be activated and in what life categories the potential for renewal will be natural and beneficial to cast your emotional die for the next 30-day cycle.   But even if you do not know which house your 0° Aquarius is located, you can still benefit from simply knowing the sign itself.

So we have a New Moon in Aquarius!  This sign rules the 11th house of hopes, dreams and also carries a humanitarian and “friends” as general meaning archetypes.  Innovative thinking is part of the Aquarius vibe as well as freedom seeking qualities being a part of this energy.  In evolutionary soul astrology, it also links with “the wound” of the past lives.

So in any of those ways we can cast the dye for this next month–changing our emotional responses to life in those areas.

(Again, if you know the house of your natal chart that holds 0° Aquarius, you can factor in that information as well.)

I just had a brilliant idea!  (Now that’s the stuff that Aquarius is made of actually–brilliant ideas.)  Anyway, why not draw a few tarot cards to add insight to the Aquarius New Moon meaning here?  Why not?  It’s my blog and I can do what I want!–that last sentence (too) is very ‘Aquarian’ in nature.  🙂

Let me first reiterate that a New Moon relates to heightened sensitivity to a particular energy for the purpose of casting new dye for the purpose of renewing the potential of that part of your psyche.  Using emotion to rededicate yourself in some way–that’s another way to say it.  We can toss in “desire nature” as well here in that what we desire usually has a rather significant emotional derivative so using that energy to create something new in our lives.

Let me draw two cards now to help us to know more about this month’s New Moon in Aquarius, asking how we can best use this time for our highest benefit and therefore highest benefit of all.  I’m going to use the Hanson-Roberts tarot deck for this one; here we go.  (By the way, I love the images on this deck and the cards are small and fit nicely in my hands during the shuffle.  This is a deck that I used to program meanings from the divinitory method using my own memories.)

I drew THE CHARIOT and QUEEN OF CUPS.

Chariot with Queen of Cups

Well, first impression:  male image/female image so a hint at balance confirmed by the yin and yang on the Chariot.  All those stars on the Chariot card really do remind me of the sign of Aquarius and now the Cup the Queen holds, definitely relates to emotions (cups equal emotion in the tarot system).

The Chariot also speaks of using one’s will, directing one’s energy and being determined; it is also about practice and practice making perfect.  Practicing what?  The Queen holds that answer–understanding your emotional reactions.  Satisfaction comes from practicing using one’s will to understand emotional responses and to keep on that path and exerting control in some way to achieve a goal.

Sometimes we let our emotions spin out of control.  Yet, these cards speak of the suggestion that this New Moon cycle the directive is about making it a goal to control emotions so that they do not spin out, causing us to break down, go off our intended path and by failing to maintain our balance and by neglecting to keep the positive/negative pull of our nature (yin/yang) under control.

I think of the Queen of Cups always as it relates to intuition and also empathy/compassion — those energies, too, need to be balanced so that emotions don’t spin out.

The Queen sits by an ocean and this hints, to me, that water can help in our endeavors this month and if there is a goal that you believe you’d like to reach regarding water in any way, this New Moon in Aquarius would support that.   Many people feel very “at peace” near water or even in water.  Aquarius, after all, is the “water bearer” (despite it being an ‘air’ sign.  The Chariot does relate to the Sign of Cancer and Cancer is ruled by the Moon and Moon energy always relates to water.

The New Moon
The Sun and Moon are joined together to create something new during the New Moon time

So on all levels I do get that a message for this New Moon time relates to emotion and the goal of harnessing those in some way that relates to Aquarius energy — friends, hopes, dreams, humanitarian causes, group energy or perhaps it relates to a person with the Sun sign Aquarius with the understanding that the Sun and Moon are neck-in-neck right along side one another at the same degree when there’s a New Moon.

Give it another go here–what I mean is to consider reading this post over again with what your intuition tells you Aquarius means to you!  Cast the dye consciously.

Final thought:  is there a way that you can balance emotions for a new cause, a new reason in this new lunar phase?

Last Quarter Moon Phase October 2014

Last Quarter Moon Phase-2

The current energy:  The head/Sun squares the heart/Moon… well, that’s one (of many) ways to say it.  Today the Moon is in it’s Last Quarter Phase (270° to 315°).  This phase started at 1° Leo and enters  the last phase, the Balsamic at 1° Libra and then the next New Moon is 1° Scorpio.  These phases happen every month of course as the Moon moves through it’s monthly cycle.  So where are we now exactly as far as what we can expect will occur based on our New Moon intention from the last New Moon when we planted our seed and conceived something during the dark of the Moon last?

What is this phase all  about?  Well, we start with the fact of the square that the Moon and Sun are making and that brings frustration, uneasiness, the energy being at odds, conflicting.  The Moon wants one thing and the Sun another and both must be resolved–but differently.

Dane Rudhyar calls this phase “Crisis is Consciousness” — and I think too “crisis in belief”.  Internal conflicts, therefore, mark this phase.  Do we deserve what we asked for during the New Moon?  Is it possible to achieve? Are we in harmony with our own ideals?  –these types of questions could be possible now.  I can see this within my own self as I look back to the start of the cycle (Sept. 23/24) at the last New Moon and all that has happened over these last 3 week and I feel myself having to grapple with a few things internally.  Here in this phase we should be careful that we don’t create a pattern called “the undoing of the doing”.  We must not take things for granted and undermine our own creative efforts and all the while try to understand our own actions.

We are likely to seek a deeper cosmological understanding–again, crisis in belief.  We begin to feel the pull of Source Energy now pulling us into the next phase.  We may be confused about what to believe and the value system that we associate with those beliefs.

What you believe determines your values which in turn determines your lifestyle relative to your beliefs.  There can be a crisis in lifestyle and a crisis in identity as well.  An inner question such as “Am I living my life according to my own values?”    Something in consciousness is being re-polarized so that a new foundation of awareness can occur–the soul strives for a new foundation!

There is society and then there is ‘me’–values may differ.  We feel the new cycle and want to move into that but we are finishing up something in this cycle that must come first—thus, the frustration.

the Psychic in this last quarter moon phase

The psychic, the sensitive individual,  feels the longing to go home, to withdraw, and seeks solitude more frequently in this lunar phase. Thoughts of what is left behind as a legacy are typical of this phase,  And so perhaps in this lunar phase the psychic professional works on that class, that book, those teachings or the project of one kind or another.  There is still engagement with the outer world but it is like the autumn if we equated this to a season.

The Moon wanes and the monthly cycle ends and now the psychic starts to review the month, the work and perhaps takes inventory of successes and perceived failures and maybe considers how to improve or change in some way.

There is a sense of wanting to finish unfinished business and so reviewing connections with others perhaps by checking over Email to be sure everything was addressed… just anything to tidy things up because subconsciously and intuitively the feeling of needing to withdraw again is nearing.

So there is a feeling of culmination and completion here and shedding the skins that were worn in the world this time/this month.  The time is coming again soon to enter the cave once again where perhaps only a loincloth and meditation beads are needed—perhaps not literally but at least metaphorically.

No matter what your role in life or what profession you are in the emotional nature responds to an important principle or value that you feel you must uphold.  However, it is important to be flexible about this because as you feel like you would like to reform the whole system of society and the world to be in harmony with your own ideals, there is a need to be reasonable.  We can only do our best in our own corner of it working within the system (and societal values) that are already in place while being in harmony with our own system and values at the same time.

And we should remember that we are talking about the Solar-Lunar factors… the Sun relating to the Moon.  We’re talking head (Sun) versus heart (Moon). The purpose and outer persona (Sun) and the evolving emotional and soul dynamic (Moon) and we started this phase with the 270° square.  I wrote a post a while back about the difference between the energies of the Sun and the Moon which may be good to review:  CLICK HERE.

This phase is like a sweet sorrow.  Like sensing a return to the homeland after being away.  Time now feels even more precious because we know something is soon going to change but before it does we ask ourselves, “Have I been doing my best?”    These types of questions permeate our gradual return to the inner world as we move through this phase.  Longing increases to return to the dharmakaya, the place of divine truth.  We remember the “Cosmic Joke” as some say and we focus on today, now, and …. well, I just now realize that this very morning, I made a Facebook post that epitomizes this:

“In our lives there’s ‘this n’ that’ happening and then there’s the other ‘not’ happening and then again there’s the ‘meanwhile’… deep within; the eternal presence in the eternal now is meanwhile. Always meanwhile at the core of us, there’s exists, always, the divine connection meanwhile and the practice of the virtue of patience.”

There’s a sense of autumn about this phase and an acceptance of the imperfection of our lives, our values, our beliefs and those of the others and the outer world of society.  We can almost laugh about it realizing how little it all really matters in the end.   Yet, we still know we have to participate in it and so our grip loosens.  We accept what we haven’t done and may not get to do and we also see that tendency in other people–that which has not been accomplished not only in this monthly lunar phase but in life generally.  Yet, despite this, we’re okay with the imperfections of Samsara.

We know we cannot always be right, have everything we want, remain young all the years of our life but…

we must be very careful now not to become cynical.  We should let go of all judgments of ourselves and others–that’s all irrelevant anyway and we can get a glimpse of that now.

Don’t snatch defeat from the jaws of victory

We do not want to repeat the past — this for sure is what we know and we must be careful not to “snatch defeat from the jaws of victory”.

It is important not to judge circumstances now, no matter how things appear!  It’s best to say “I have no idea…” right now rather than to draw an erroneous conclusion about anything or anyone.  Enlightenment, after all, in the end is knowing that you don’t know all that you thought you knew!

Next up:  Balsamic Phase at 1° Libra starting on Tuesday the 21st.  And then we go thought the cycle again, so you can come back and start again with the New Moon phase entry on this blog and let the Moon phases guide you through another month.
