Daily Divination 8-8-11 Favorable Conditions Today; The Magic of Twilight Time Reinstates Peace; Mountaintop Mist Experience – I-CHING Kua 11/Peace, with Astrology and Tarot Associations

We achieve a state of peace when we are in perfect balance. I find that reflecting on that one sentence to be so helpful. Perfect balance equals peace! E-Z; no problem–right? Today the Oracle reminds us of this simple truth and predicts favorable conditions for your life offering that caveat with it. Twilight! I love that time of evening and morning when there is a balance between the heavens and the earth—a magical time. When I think the word “peace”—that’s the image that comes to mind. And we see that in the image here. I used to have a paper route and for 3 years, when my I had babies at home, while they and my husband slept, I’d leave at 3 am daily (7 days a week) to deliver my newspapers. I didn’t want to put my infant in a daycare and opted for that way of adding to the family income for those years. Anyway, greeting the day as it was being born was a beautiful part of that job—breathtaking sunrises too. Another favorite time was calling the kids to come inside from their outdoor play as it began to get dark; but I’d linger there first, sitting outside for a while before calling them at dusk.

Twilight times when time seems to stand still are so magical. Can we capture and hold that feeling 24-7? If we can, we walk the world in a state of peace.

Yesterday at dusk my grandson and I were at the top of the mountain at 6,000 feet caught in the midst of a passing cloud at twilight time. (It was COLD up there too if you were wearing simple t-shirts which we were.) In those moments, my 13 year old grandson and I stood there together letting the fast-moving misty clouds pass all around us.  Immersion in the mountain mist at twilight time!

I still carry that feeling within me now as I type this and hope to share it with you; let’s go there together in our minds.

Pulling this Kua for today’s cosmic communiqué as I have,  is a validation of our mountain top experience of harmony, balance and perfection—those are 3 keywords to express the archetype of I-CHING Kua 11/Peace.

The still point of Peace is a blessing in which “all feels right with the world” and the outlook is positive and clear and a divine perspective is gained. The misty clouds of energy flowing past us on the top of the mountain at dusk yesterday as we closed our eyes and held out our arms to immerse ourselves in the mountain energy, reminded us about flow itself; the TAO. In those moments we were fully open to whatever experience came our way—we surrendered to the midst, the mountain, the moment!

Whatever your own situation is today, perhaps if you take a mental journey to the moments I’ve been describing, capture it and carry it with you, it will help you feel the peace too.

Daily Divination 8-3-11 Have you come to a standstill? Take Heart! Deal with Details or Meditate and Let it all go! I CHING Kua 12- Standstill with Astrology and Tarot correlations

Standstill!—that’s the name of today’s message from Kua 12 of the I-CHING. My first thought was how that relates to Mercury Stationing Retrograde today—that’s a standstill for sure! Things that are usually humming along come to a halt for no apparent reason. We all have those times in life when progress seems impossible! For example, I’ve been so busy today that I just looked down and realized that I’m still in my pajamas! (That’s how she goes when you work from home.) It’s been like trying to shovel snow in a blizzard today—and with temperatures still in the 90’s that’s a cooling vision if nothing else!

All of that Mercury stationing retro can leave one feeling a bit disoriented and unfocused—not to mention Mercury is opposing Neptune! Some days we can only do our best and then turn to the higher energies (Neptune) where things seem more conducive. Sometimes during those occasions when you can’t focus well anyway, why try? It just feels like the energy now is calling is more inward.

Isn’t it just like divinity to show us that we aren’t as “in control” as our ego tends to think we are by crossing a few wires every now and then? Today could just be one of THOSE days! But we mustn’t allow ourselves to feel totally snowed under—sorry, it must be the heat; just can’t stop with the snow impressions! At these times, we do ourselves the greatest service by reminding ourselves that everything really IS unfolding exactly the way it should. This goes back to a blog from a few weeks ago—one of the greatest questions we can ask ourselves, said Einstein, is whether we believe in a friendly or unfriendly universe. In other words, one way to say it is that you either believe things are working in your favor, or you don’t. May as well agree to it—what is, ‘is’.

This seems to be a time for details too—at least until August 8th. Why so? Because Mercury is standing still and retrograding in the sign of Virgo—the detail oriented archetype. Essentially, if we can’t accomplish something really big right now, it may be best to back up a bit (retrograde) and work on the smaller details. Cool?

Cool! There I go again with the temperature references. I changed my twitter background to a Horn of Plenty image to try to encourage fall temperatures today and have “cool” on my brain.

Okay, so what needs maintenance and fine tuning and detailed attention? Go there—that’s today’s message. It’s time to go with that flow instead of spinning wheels and getting yourself deeper in the snow. Oh, if only it did snow for just a moment! It will soon enough is the point and that’s the message today—creative work can still happen even if there’s a freeze on. Become attentive to the intimate details of life now; do your part to melt the ice from within. Like I said, it’s a good time to meditate (it always is but…) now especially.

THE ASTROLOGY AND TAROT KEYWORD ARCHETYPE ASSOCIATIONS FOR KUA 12/STANDSTILL ARE:

Cancer – nurturing from within

Leo – not getting attention/acknowledgment

Capricorn – withdrawal; alone; isolation

Aquarius – detachment; need to detach; objective; need to be objective

Justice — pausing to restore balance

The Emperor – restoring order to chaos

Judgment – need to keep an open mind

Death – renewal; change; let go; release

Empress – natural laws bring comfort; spring is followed by winter

The World – divine timing

(Sorry; I rushed through the archetypes today; a lightning storm is approaching—need to end and shut down the system. Another standstill!  )

Daily Divination 8-2-11 Prosperity and Radiance! Are You in The Flow? I CHING KUA 14 with Tarot and Astrology Archetype Correlations

Using resources wisely—ask Washington DC about that! Today’s message is about PROSPERITY inspired by the I-CHING Kua 14. Prosperity has radiance; it is a grace, an energy, which can be used with positive or negative effects. The energy of money can be either nourishing and supportive or small-minded and self-indulgent. Boy O boy! Don’t we see THAT debate being played out in Washington right now?

The I-CHING wisdom states that  fortune smiles upon us when our vision and plans are in harmony with the flow of the Universe. I think the important word in that last sentence is “flow”. Fears about not having enough always stop that flow—trust me on this one! It’s one of my life lessons! (My natal North Node is in Taurus in the 10th.)

When we have ideals that are in harmony with a compassionate and “flowing” universe, the resources are available to us. Miserliness and greed don’t seem to be part of natural law and the flow of the TAO.

On the other hand, we know that with abundance comes the responsibility of being good a caretaker of resources—acting modestly but not selfishly seems like good common sense. The question is whether or not we act in accordance with what is the highest and best within us. What attitude is in honor and in integrity? It involves compassion and sharing what we have with others when the opportunity presents itself.

The current debates in our country (United States) and throughout the world about finances and the economy bring forth an opportunity to examine our own feelings about finances, wealth, personal economic issues.

Today’s message brings forth the suggestion to examine our own attitudes about finances, prosperity and wealth and our relationship to others where money is concerned.

Relaxing one’s fearful attitudes and maintaining a hopeful and relaxed mind while neither hoarding nor being greedy helps us to stay in the flow that supports prosperity.

Today, the message is to take heart and know that we are all abundantly blessed and with that inward inspiration, outward manifestation becomes apparent. Is this a truth that you are living?

ASTROLOGY AND TAROT KEYWORD ASSOCIATIONS TO KUA 14/PROSPERITY

Ariesinitiation of action without fear; freedom; creating an identification structure

Taurus – money; value system; relates to 2nd house of “what is valued”

Cancer – feeling secure, safe, comforted (comfortable) and nurtured by life; emotional connections to safety; emotional immaturity

Leo – looking for validation outside of self; seeking outer world gratification and acknowledgment (in this case, through financial success as a validation of self-worth)

The Star – being hopeful and relaxing the mind; staying in the “flow”

The Sun – blessings; success; take heart; joyousness and happiness; universal blessings; the sun illuminates all things without judgment or preference—equality

Magician – outward manifestation of inward inspiration

Justice – making discriminating choices

The Emperor – achievement of goals; being responsible

Judgment – Living one’s inner truth; knowing we are more than our physical body and physical possessions; being receptive to the flow; awakening to over-indulgences

Daily Divination 7-23-11 The Greatest Question of Your Life! And Delay is Humbling; I-CHING Kua 9 – Leo, Virgo, Cancer, Magician, The Hermit, Strength, Justice, The Emperor, Judgment

Sometimes we are held back, but with good reason. We either believe that we live in a Universe that is benevolent in which All is working in our favor (no matter how it looks) –OR we don’t.

It was Einstein who said that this is one of the greatest questions of our life. “Albert Einstein once commented that the most fundamental question we can ever ask ourselves is whether or not the universe we live in is friendly or hostile. He hypothesized that your answer to that question would determine your destiny.”

The cosmic communiqué for today is to look at areas of your life where you may feel that you are being blocked—realize that it is only for a short time and this mild restraint is purposeful.

It’s happened in my life too many times to count—and yours too if you’re observant and honest about it. We can all look back and recall times when we experienced life holding us back from advancement—and thank goodness for those times or we’d have made a dire mistake. It all goes back to the Einstein point above—you either trust the universe or you don’t.

“Due to circumstances beyond our control….” – you know that phrase, right? That sort of epitomizes the source from which today’s message is inspired—Kua 9 of the I-CHING. The various names for this Kua give more detail: “The Taming Power of the Small”; “Humble Strength”; “Gentle Restraint, Holding Back”.

BOTTOM LINE: The bottom line message today is that the moment for action on a large-scale has not yet arrived.

Here’s an example. You know those times when the clouds in the sky turn grey and the wind starts to pick up and all indications are that it’s going to rain–but then it doesn’t? Like that! It will rain eventually and while the potential is there, it’s (for reasons beyond our control) being held back. It looks like it should rain, but no rain—and if you wanted the rain to occur; it can be a bit frustrating and disappointing that it never rains a drop. But then the bottom falls out and it pours—later! Of course, we could flip that example—days of rain and the Sun tries to come up and doesn’t for days on end–and then and then suddenly the rain stops, the clouds go away and there’s the Sun brighter than ever.

It’s at these times that I like to remember a line made known by Byron Katie, “It wasn’t ‘supposed to’ rain. How do we know? Because it didn’t!” And that brings us round again to Einstein’s greatest question whose answer determines your experience.

Sometimes we want to make a big change and “things happen” causing all of our efforts to get us nowhere—that’s simply life. What’s the advice for these times?

You cannot ‘push the river’ or cannot ‘make it rain’—practice watching events unfold with dispassion and with passive alertness.

Carry on without being overly attached to particular outcomes—reinforce a core belief that the universe is ultimately working in your favor.

Life is giving us an opportunity in those times to explore our humility and trust. The image on the card above contains a spider from which we can take a lesson. She works tiredly to prepare her web without anyone noticing. Many times her work becomes damaged—the web becomes torn. She simply tends to the repairs as soon as the notices. She doesn’t seek attention and she works quietly and efficiently blending into her surroundings—and when she’s done she waits.

That whole spider and web thing reminds me of my first website. We often hear the phrase made famous in the movies, “If you build it, they will come.” That’s true but not until google’s spiders pick up the site and list and link it! If you’ve ever created a website, you know the feeling of having worked tirelessly on a website and then publishing it and it’s a while before anything really happens traffic-wise. Maybe it’s different these days, but that’s how it was when I created my first website. Anyway, that’s just another example of today’s message—don’t let minor impediments get you down!

The Astrological Correlations to Kua 9 are:

Leo – the Sun; purpose; giving meaning to one’s life; desire to be completely in charge of one’s destiny

Virgo – humility; discrimination; paying attention to small details

Cancer – emotional security and insecurity issues

The Tarot Correlations to Kua 9 are:

The Magician – enthusiasm for “making things happen”

The Hermit – the ability to shine forth without fear

Strength — not allowing circumstances to control you

Justice – knowing that life ‘is’ fair; looking at the other side of issues

The Emperor — a “shaker and mover” type of person who needs to balance the tendency to “do” with need to “be”

Judgment – awakening to a “higher power” that is ultimately more in control that we are

Daily Divination 7-21-11 Innocence, Intuition, Spontaneity in Walking One’s Path – I CHING Kua 25; Cancer, Leo, Aquarius, Pisces, Justice, The Emperor, Judgment, Death, Hanged Man, The Chariot

Innocence is the ability to pay attention to the inner voice of intuition and to spontaneously respond to life unfolding in the now. The members of the psychic class group are currently having a big discussion on diet and foods and fasting and onward—pulling this rune for today’s cosmic communiqué relates (I believe) to trusting the body’s wisdom in each moment which was my contribution to discussions on the topic.

Today’s message comes from Kua 25 of the I CHING, called “Innocence” –human nature directed by spirit. This Kua is also called “Simple Purpose”—following the true inclination of the heart.

The Wilhelm/Baynes Book of Changes says this about Kua 25: By devotion to the divine spirit within the self, innocence is attained that leads to do the right thing with ‘instinctive’ sureness without any thought.

I can’t help but think of babies and their diet. Moms tend to worry about what their children eat. Maybe I’m old fashioned (probably, I’m getting old… ) but ‘back in the day’ the pediatricians would say to offer the child a variety of healthy foods and the child’s body wisdom will direct them. I noticed that this was true overall—lots of noodles one day and the next day lots of carrots. It seemed to balance out without me  injecting any food anxieties.

Children have not been programmed to have preferences, to be fixated on ideals, or strive to achieve ego-goals. Children, in their natural innocence, can be such beautiful teachers.

Because of our training as we move into adulthood, the mind can be forceful in trying to convince the “innocent self” of certain beliefs under the guise of improvement. Sometimes that’s a good thing but…

… today’s message is gently reminding us of the wisdom gained when we trust the innocence of our own natural spirit.

Renew your acquaintance with your natural, childlike, innocent self—there is wisdom there.

BOTTOM LINE: Today’s message is to approach each situation as it comes and to be responsive to subtle influences that are the result of sensitivity and enthusiasm. Life is a moment-to-moment flowering, not some problem to be solved. Look at life today through the eyes of an innocent child. To function most effectively (in any situation), it is important to ‘be present’ in each and every moment. Release complex issues in favor of a simple approach. Find the balance you need between childlike confidence and the wisdom of experience.

The Astrological Correlations to the I CHING Kua 25, Innocence are:

Cancer – nurturing with food

Leo – childlike; Leo rules the 5th house of “children”

Aquarius – being a “group of one”; breaking free from a need to conform

Pisces – mutability; willingness to be flexible; being aware of subtle energy; innocence; openness

The Tarot Correlations to the I CHING Kua 25, Innocence are:

Justice – energy being balanced; need for equilibrium; need to discriminate what is best for self

The Emperor – the need to balance the strong male qualities with the feminine; being too rigid or too fixed with a desire to bring order and control into one’s life

Judgment – realizing one is not just a body or mind, but a divine being; receptivity to the ways of one’s spirit; living one’s inner truth

Death – rebirth; rejuvenation; being open to change;

Hanged Man – being non-resistive; reversal in thinking; relaxing about things; surrender and letting go; softening of fixed viewpoints; looking at things from a different point of view

The Chariot – using one’s body as a vehicle of one’s true self-expression; separation from “race consciousness” or “consensus” thinking; seeing the big picture; working with a larger reality; receiving direction from ‘within’; taking the “middle path”

As always, I hope that the Tarot and Astrology archetype correlations help to further clarify the message inspired by today’s I CHING Kua 25, Innocence.  See you tomorrow….

Daily Divination 7-18-11 Patriarchal christian law versus Natural Law and the Conflict – Kua 6; Cancer, Leo, Libra, Scorpio, Justice, The Emperor, Judgment, The Tower, The Devil, Wheel of Fortune

NATURAL LAW OR MAN MADE LAW?

Oh boy, here we go! Kua 6… Conflict. I know what this one is about… I wanted to forget about it but apparently drawing this kua today the universe is making me address it!

This has got to be about the bible-thumping self-righteous christian from yesterday.

Sunday morning I’m out in my yard clipping the overgrowth out front and a car pulls up. Nobody ever comes here and I pretty much knew—in fact, I recognized her. She’s been here before with her bible.  Geeze!

I’m usually polite but say thanks, but no thanks and close the door. Last time she was here with some man accompanying her and he says, “Oh, we got you up didn’t we?” Ticked me off a bit; it was around 9 am and I was blogging and hadn’t gotten dressed yet—nor combed my hair. Nervy enough to bible-thump at my door much less making a comment about my appearance!

Yet, I was still polite.

But yesterday there she comes again. I was having a quiet, peaceful Sunday morning, listening to the birds while in my own peaceful thoughts—but I lost it after she gets out of her car and says she will join me if I didn’t mind.  I said I did mind but nevertheless she goes on about her bible!

Today’s message (mostly for me I’m sure—but maybe you too?) comes from Kua 6 the I CHING of “conflict” as well as adversaries, disputes and arguments.

The message is to settle things peacefully—but if that’s not possible then quickly.

Sometimes when there is a clash of wills both parties feel strongly about their idea. I’m sure she felt just as strong about jezuz and the bible as much as I did about my right to live my life without being periodically approached by pushy, arrogant bible thumpers!

Then the chic tells me I shouldn’t be working on the “lord’s day” and starts to quote the bible. I was pretty much walking toward her at this point with large yard clippers in my hands.

No, it wasn’t pretty. She had a man and child in the car and I didn’t spare them my sentiments as I walked toward her with my clippers while she walked backwards toward her car.

I don’t knock on your door or bother you about my beliefs—you have a lot of nerve, I say.  And she tells me that I could talk to her about my beliefs and that would be perfectly fine with her.  And she said it with that self-rightous x-tian smugness.  I assured her I wouldn’t be so ill-mannered, rude and arrogant to do so!   And told her to leave and not come back.

Usually I retreat as politely as possible from these nut cases.  But maybe it was the heat and humidity… this time there was fight, not flight. I’ll be darned if I’m going to give in to someone who approaches me un-beckoned into my own yard…. my peaceful sanctuary.

Later that afternoon, they guy across the street (apparently another heathen like me) mowed his lawn—On Sunday! That’s unheard of around here—nobody mows on Sunday! I’m sure “the lord” cares less if I pull weeds and clip with a pair of hand clippers on the last day of the week!  I don’t think there’s any “lord” who cares about the guy across the way either.  I loved hearing the guy crank up his riding mower later in the day! You GO Dude!

I stood in my power and that involved a certain amount of conflict… unless you close the door in these people’s faces or go at them with a pair of lawn shears and a raised voice, they won’t go away!

I was actually calm and clearheaded yet was not going to put up with this x-tian lady’s unwelcome interruption on a peaceful, quite Sunday morning. I had no intention of letting this go on for any more than a minute—and the moment she was in her car with the door shut, I told her driver, Now GO—get out of here.

Her parting words were wrapped around a smug, x-tian, Sarah Palin type of smile (you know what I mean), “I really do wish you a nice day”, she says

I repeated myself inviting them one last time to leave!

(Apologies to readers for the image to the left.)

The message of this Kua 6 is about a clash of wills. This lady’s will to interrupt me in my sanctuary while I was minding my own business doing yard work clashed with my will to be left alone.

If you follow my blog, you will know that this happens all the time in this neck of the literal woods—usually, I’m polite but curt. This time I left out the polite part and stuck with curt.  Since she’s been here before maybe this time she’ll get the message!

In the Wilhelm/Baynes Book of Changes it is said about Kua 6 that “conflict develops when one feels himself to be in the right and runs into opposition.” I was her opposition apparently.

This unsolicited and unwelcome visit into the womb of my spiritual space by the most disdainful of characters while I honored nature by enjoying the birds and the quiet of the day while beautifying my yard and loving nature was a jolt to my senses and sense of Libra-fairness.

Her right to believe what she wants (about me, jezus, the bible or anything or anyone else) ends with my right to work in my yard on a Sunday without being approached by a bible thumper with her opinions of my observance of “the lord’s day”.  And I stick to that!

The astrological correlations are:

Cancer – emotional self-reliance of the soul; the womb

Leo – bossiness, pride

Libra – projection

Scorpio – coming face to face with limitation; also, obsession

The Tarot correlations are:

Justice – discriminating what is best for self

The Emperor – patriarchal christian god

Judgment – judging someone’s actions

The Tower – outmoded ideas; being knocked from a position of arrogance

The Devil – hanging on to things that have no truth

Wheel of Fortune – HONORING NATURAL LAW OVER MAN MADE LAW; GREAT SPIRIT  versus PATRIARCHAL GOD

Doing Prostrations

Footnote: in thinking about the situation from a Buddhist perspective and with the Dalai Lama in mind actually; I didn’t show much compassion to the bible thumper.

I lost my patience and usual tolerance.

But there I was squatting and bending to deal with weeds et al and wondered if…. well, I imagined if the Dalai Lama was doing prostrations in his garden on a Sunday morning and the same thing happened to him! In his very own garden, minding his own business,  doing prostrations… hmmmm…. one wonders.

(Okay, so I’m no Dalai Lama and still have some work to do on myself!  Mea Culpa )

Daily Divination 7-12-11 Today is a good day to strengthen bonds in your group – I CHING Kua 13 Leo, Cancer, Aries, Taurus, Justice, The Emperor, Judgment, The Star, The Sun, The Magician

Be cheerful and nurturing to others today. Companionship, Socializing and Group Activity is being encouraged.

I’m flashing in memory to an old notebook that I found in the glove compartment of my old car. As soon as I see today’s Kua 13 message from the I CHING, I think of this. Within the writing of that little notebook were directives to create a psychic development class. I smiled when I saw that remembering how repeated messages came to do so and finally it was created. Frankly, I’d forgotten that.

The words “group” always makes me think of the psychic development class group and the Kua 13’s main message of friendliness, mutual respect, shared goals and strengthening bonds. The message today is to remember that we need one another. There is special warmth that comes from combining forces, or gathering together with others of like mind.

Today is a good day (no matter what day you read this with the understanding of simultaneous divine time) to spend time socializing with others in friendliness and with good will.

The astrological archetypes of Leo, Cancer, Aries and Taurus relate to Kua 13’s message. Leo is about being child-like and self-expressive. Cancer is about a family atmosphere and nurturing. Aries is about having the courage to embrace inter-dependence. And Taurus is about being self-reliant while merging with others. We can now see the astrological influences and how they relate to the “companionship” of this I CHING Kua.

The Tarot archetypes that correlate with this Kua are Justice (fairness), The Emperor (achievement), Judgment (opening up), The Star (optimism/meditation), The Sun (Light, joy and creativity), and the Magician (magical manifestation and communication).

BOTTOM LINE:  Work in a spirit of harmony or shared vision with others today in the spirit of shared goals. Ask the self how doing so could benefit both yourself and the group, family or community.

Daily Divination April 14, 2011 Extremes in Relationships; Maturing, Fairness; Justice Card Relating to Libra

Extremes!

Emotional extremes or extreme actions and behaviors… this  is today’s topic.

Fairness, self-righteousness, truth, balance and choice-making regarding that which is as good for one’s self as well as good for all concerned…   today’s cosmic message broadcast is inspired by the major arcana tarot card Justice which relates to Libra energy.

So, extreme energy versus balanced and fair energy—that’s the topic that the divine messengers are calling our attention to today–no matter what day you read this.  Anyway, yes… Extreme!  Totally.

Libra energy can be very extreme.

Ever know someone who, it seems, simply  just can’t go down a middle path in life?

What comes to mind is this little verse,

There was a little girl, who had a little curl,

right in the middle of her forehead…

When she was good, she was very, very good,

and when she was bad, she was horrid!  –Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

My grandparents and aunt used to recite that one to me, about me, when I was a little girl.  That’s Libra type energy all over!  Extreme!  When unbalanced (and Libra is inherently unbalanced, striving ‘for’ balance), “extreme” is a perfect description.  I so very much personally get that with 4 planets in Libra in my birth chart.  Anyway…

I’ve lived out those extremities of energy and have a real sensitivity to “law” which is also related to the Justice card and Libra energy—meaning, I pretty much don’t like laws and authority, especially when they don’t make sense (to me)!  I did my taxes Sunday night—there’s a law for you.  And have been working with understanding marriage and divorce laws to assist someone who is going through that legal process.  So it’s interesting that today’s message comes through the Justice card, associated with Libra (relationship) energy.  Neither marriage law nor tax law makes much sense to me, but I understand the necessity of the guidelines and the attempt at unbiased fairness in both.

Venus, of course, rules Libra and also Taurus.  Taurus is about inner relating (to self) and Libra is about outer relating (to others) and about listening objectively to what others in relationship to you are actually saying—meaning taking your blinder’s off, removing your filter and really objectively hearing other people.  How many of us do that well without self-interest getting in the way?

I think the message today—or here’s a stream of it coming through to my consciousness as I type this right now it this relates to man-made law versus universal law or natural law.  So let us say that today (or any time in future that you read this in the spirit of divine order) that you are feeling like you are in a dense forest of darkness or confusion about something in life and don’t quite know how to handle it.

And let’s say you are searching for truth is some matter.  There’s the law to help guide you. Universal laws have compassion and kindness as part of the package—man-made law doesn’t always carry that same quality.  I’d like to think that laws are guideposts or guidelines rather than absolutes; although I concede that absolutes are needed in some cases.

Can you see how Libra can be?  A phrase often associated with Libra is, “On the other hand… “.  I sort of did that in the paragraph above.  Guidelines and guideposts?  Or absolutes?  Which is it?  Getting the indecisiveness that is part of the Libra quality of energy?   And the answer is, in perfect Libra order–it depends.  This is because Libra energy can easily see both sides of issues and of course this is why many judges of the court and mediators and counselors usually have a lot of Libra energy in their birth chart AKA psyche/soul.  Libra can see all sides to an issue or question and strives to make fair compromises—after lots of deliberation of course!

When we are in harmony with the laws of nature, we are protected via natural “law” through the creation of a healthy body/mind/spirit—and that’s because we have achieved a state of inner balance.  It’s a matter of aligning with what’s natural.

In the man-made system of legal matters and justice, we can see how there can be manipulation due to mis-judgments of what is fair.  Fair for who?  We can use man-made law to force our will upon another and sometimes that works and other times it backfires.  The reason that it does, I believe, is that there is a cosmic law that overrules man-made law–any time we try to force our will upon another person, we have gone to extremes and it can only boomerang.

Taking off the blinders and seeing life objectively isn’t easy, especially when it comes to relationships that are emotionally charged.   Seeing a situation based on only what “you” want and what “you” believe is fair (sometimes we can’t see clearly and this affects our belief about what’s fair) can create additional conflict in relationships—and when that battle occurs, there’s the law.  And it’s either “man-made” or “cosmic-universal” and we can use either one to guide us, protect us and to consult with in order to help us see more objectively.

Our relationships are complex but on a soul level they are such fertile ground for deep personal growth and awareness, especially if we take off the blinder and see the “other” as the mirror for the self.  There can be distortions of course, like those funky mirrors in carnival Fun Houses. And there can be a difficulty in the ability to separate out what it is that belongs to one’s self and what belongs to another.  Sometimes it can seem like a monumental task but… that’s what today’s bottom line message is about and how to lessen the drama.  So here it is…

When there is self-worth and self-reliance in good amounts this inner energy becomes the law for itself and the strength and balance within the self is heightened so that relating to others occurs from a place of strength within the self.  Notice the two objects in the image above on the Justice card… the blinder’s are off, the symbol of the sword for strength and inner authority is in one hand and the scales of inner balance in the other.

As I’ve been blogging about for a while, Saturn is retrograde in Libra and will remain so until June 12th.  We’re all being challenged to look at relationships now.  Saturn is associated with society and through its rulership over the 10th house Saturn is also rules over career issues and so relationships in those areas are affected as well.

It is vital, however, to keenly consider that Saturn is also associated with issues of maturing and maturity i.e. growing up!  There’s a part within each of us that is like the little girl with the little curl who when we are bad, “we are horrid”.

We often times bring unresolved childhood issues into our adult relationships (the 10th house polarity to the 4th).

Any place where we are immature (Saturn retrograde) regarding our relationships to others (Libra), the universal force energies are pushing us to mature.

Questions for inner contemplation:  Are you overly self-focused?  Are you being objectively fair? Or are you doing the opposite, giving in too much in relationships thereby weakening yourself and losing your sense of (Aries polarity to Libra) self-identity?
