Flowing from bird watching to people watching – Life is but a dream

June 25 2014 waterfall

Energy is starting to FLOW again–especially in my arms and hands!  ( Moving injuries.)  Back in elementary and high school, I’d often get into trouble for looking out the window.  People drive by all day long here and have to slow down in front of my upstairs window because there is a speed bump outside of this group of townhouses.  I do have my bird feeder out back and there are a few branches on our side of a tree that is in between us and the neighbor that I can hang a feeder from for Natasha (my sister’s cat) to google the birds… she likes to sit my window ledges and look out.

Spiritual Path:  No aversions, No attachments, No preferences — Buddhism

BUDDHA ON MY DESKI still marvel at the nice view I have.  I’d prefer (but trying not to!) mountain views but since I’m here, it turns out that I get to look at the nicest townhouse in the whole place of rows and rows of townhouses.  I think that the resident there must long for or perhaps miss a real home, evidently really enjoying working in the yard, his and the end unit next to it.  He has the whole place edged with an electric edger and the grass is thick and green and he has flowers between the hedges that he trims and encircling the flowering tree in the front.  I do love flowers and i get to look at his flower handiwork across the street from my window.  He’s out there a lot tending to the lawn and flowerbeds.  I understand that.

Yesterday, I re-potted two plants and planted a 3rd with flowers and added soil and miracle grow to all of them.  There’s something about working with the earth and flower/plant kingdom devas (spirits) and being out under the clouds that soothes the soul and heals the heart and mind.

Arranged the downstairs pantry with my food and cooking stuff and today my bedroom closet is the aim–everything is topsy turvy in there from the move and I can’t find a thing!

Today I see more emails from students and clients which are piling up which needs tending to as well.  Meanwhile, having traded bird watching for people watching as the background activity to my psychic work and writing is an interesting switch.  Change (switching things around) is good as my youngest daughter said and its true.  Yet, routine is good too (its comforting) and the current flow of energy will take me there eventually.

Opps!  a UPS truck just drove by my window and maintenance guys in their golf carts try to whiz by speeding around the speed bumps when no car is parked in their way.  Such is life in the townhouse community here… and the laundry is done so I need to flow it into the dryer.  Just going with the flow is so nice compared to the intense rush and physical exertion of moving my sister and I into this place.  This has been the month of polarities, for sure!

♫ Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily, life is but a dream….. ♫

Go with the Flow!

PS — Oh, and that guy in the townhouse across from ours… he has pretty blue lights in this windows and across his door… lovely to see at night too (especially since the street light blocks out the stars at night which I’d prefer to see at night, but pretty blue lights are just fine too.

Actually, the blue lights remind me of the blue light surrounding the star Sirius which is where I’m from–yes, I’m an alien and starseed.  You are too, but I won’t tell anyone so don’t worry.

He has quite a few blue lights out there… and you sort of feel like telling the guy that Xmas is over and to take down the lights but actually I think they’re pretty.  And an adequate substitute for stars I suppose.  They are beautifully placed and as tactfully, tastefully pretty as the guys lawn and flowers.  LOL  And I still see trees… an awesome pine across the street and another flowering tree and behind the rows of townhouses more trees tall and above the roof line.  Dryer just buzzed… better fold clothes now.

How much power and control do we have to create our reality? What about karma? Life lessons? And what the “haves” say to the “have not’s”

How much power and control do we have to create our reality?  What about karma? Life lessons?

And what the “haves” say to the “have not’s”

scales_love or moneyLo!  I do struggle with that one just a bit more than some—from what I’ve observed it’s the “have not’s” who are more concerned with this question.  The “have’s” just go about having and don’t think about it much I suppose—well, maybe they do and that’s why they “have” in the first place.  OR having or not having is not their karma in this lifetime—maybe it’s something else their soul struggles with.  Hey, we’ve all got our own personal bug-a-boo I suppose.  I’ve worked with many clients who have plenty of money—an excess in fact—and you should see what their worries are!  To us “have-not’s” those things can appear pretty laughable and to us their so-called problem seems easily manageable, but I have to be careful not to minimize their dilemma any more than I like the “have’s” to minimize my “have not” issues.

I do notice though that those “have’s” who want to give me some type of “have not” advice almost always come from a place of having daddy’s inheritance, a hard-hard working and high-income producing life partner, or live on huge retirement benefits–those types of things… I’m just sayen’.  I try to be patient.  They mean well but usually don’t understand or even if they did once, they’ve forgotten.

It’s simple—make a plan, create your reality, affirm your will—right?  Yes.  And; No.  There’s the laws of karma and causality and energy that must play out no matter what you affirm or how much will you demonstrate.  Yeah, I hear ya’.  If that’s what you believe, you say, then that’s what you will experience.  I know all that but I’m talking about what some would call “Divine Timing” or what in Tarot Card language we’d call the “Wheel of Fortune” card or perhaps we could use the word “destiny”.  Astrology is my new ‘thang’ more-or-less lately (besides swimming) and more than anything else it explains things like… well, that classic book entitled, “Why do bad things happen to good people?”   Essentially, one can see the karmic patterns and the timing of the events and what the soul is learning which ‘splains quite a bit and helps one work with the soul’s plan rather than making one of one’s own and working against it.

Do we make a plan or go with the flow

Flow
Flow

Someone says,  “Well,  make a plan”,  and I laugh because …. Well, what’s that line, “… best laid plans of mice and men”… tell the Universe your plans and make the gods laugh.

I have faith and trust that The Divine Assistants know our mind and heart ‘help us to help ourselves’.  And believing that we do have that assistance working on our behalf, I am assured.

Yet I’ve also realized that we are here working through the energies that have already been set into motion so that the best plan we can make (if we make one) is to find the way to be at peace with “what is”–and that’s not easy task some days!  Our heart’s desire is the plan and if we trust that  while having faith that the path will be cleared and the way will be shown and known to us in exactly the right timing, this is the best we can do until the energy shifts to align with those intentions and the soul plan.

Like the old saying goes–make your intention and express your will and then let go, and let god.

That last step, surrender, is what us “have not’s” get pretty good at over time—something the “have’s” may no nothing about.

Or maybe they do.

Meanwhile, as a “have not”, I usually flow with whatever happens while holding the general outcome desired in the mind and heart,  following guidance daily as it comes–for me its the best way to fly.   If you ask if I am making a plan, that’s my answer–it’s worked thus far.

Trust — in Doing Psychic Work, Using Intuition and in Life Generally; Can we control the weather with our mind?

Some things we may as well trust as not.  The weather will be what it is and we trust that; mostly we trust that because we can’t do anything about it—we surrender knowing it will be whatever it will be.  Why do we humans have such a hard time trusting other parts, portions or pieces of our life?  Is it because we believe that we “do” have control?  Is that why we have such a difficult time surrendering and trusting?  Is the inability to trust the outcome of our ego-attachment to the idea that we can control life on all levels?  Do these popular new-age-ish teachings like the Law of Attraction and The Secret confuse us when it comes to ideas manifestation that rule out soul-purpose and issues of the karmic past, cause and effect, group karma, etc.?  I’m just asking because there seems to be confusion in people about all this.

I’m just asking—just contemplating this whole trust thing. We trust that our next breath will come in time and that our heart is going to beat its next.  It is something we take for granted — we don’t think much about it, we trust this mystery and magic that keeps us alive.  We breathe in and out; and our heart beats all the time without thinking about it.  Talk about the Law of Attraction!  HA! There it is; think about it.  The lungs are empty and the next breath comes exactly when needed—Law of Attraction!  Who needs to write a series of books and go on tour giving a thousand lectures about it or pretend they are channeling some master from a star system far, far away!?  We can simply observe these human body parts working in unison to know what trust is—and what it isn’t.  And while we contemplate that, we can also realize that there is a lot to be grateful for within a simple breath.

Is trust about believing in aspects of life that work without our direction and control like the breath and the heartbeat?  Intuition, I believe, is just like that—its working all the time, been there all along and most people barely realize the intuition, like the breath and heartbeat, is there and working without their interference 100% of the time.  Being psychic and intuitive is like your next breath and heart beat—it is functioning beneath your level of awareness, is automatic as well as mysteriously magical.  The questions are, “Can you trust it?” and a “Do you surrender to it?” – It’s like the weather you know?  You may as well.

Yet, I’d have to add that we learn a good deal about our life when we try to control it all and the ego takes its bows for the automatic functioning of the body, mind and spirit–really, it’s laughable if you think about it.

Sometimes, I think my strong desire and intent controls the weather—is that delusion, illusion or is there something to it?  Can I do it all the time 365 days a year or 24 hours a day?  No; and if I could, it would be 67 degrees, sunny and cloudless all the time. Yet, there are times when I need it not to rain… like when I’m finishing up my yard work, unloading a truck full of firewood or trying to get my walk in for the day.  I turn my eyes skyward and ask the nature devas (but sometimes I forget to ask and it still works anyway) to hold off on the rain until I get finished.  I cannot tell you the number of times that the second that I’ve completed the task (and I mean the second!), the rain began to fall in torrent.  If you’d have been there with me, you’d have been impressed with the timing!

At those times, however, I was willing to let be what needed to be with the weather but my surrendering to trusting that if it could be done, it would be; otherwise I surrender to getting wet on that occasion.  It gets more complicated when we see those folks who live in Florida (for a while I was one of them) who used their mind and intention to steer Hurricanes away.  Illusion, delusion, coincidence or do we have the ability to steer a storm on occasion?  Does an attempt to control the weather with the mind always work?  You tell me.  How many times have you wanted a white Christmas and gotten one and other times it didn’t snow one flake?

But then this post today is more about trust and the ability to surrender.  You’ve been breathing all the time that you’ve been reading this without thinking about it—that required a certain amount of trust and surrendering of make-believe control.  We can take the breath in our hands and control its length, duration and intensity; but we have a life!  Some things (like that) fortunately get handled for us automatically.  Life is a lot like that; we read a book or hear some inspirational speaker tell us how we can control our life and we apply the techniques and get a result here and there just the way we take up our very breath and control that and the heart rate as well with our actions and intentions.  Then we seem to try to convince ourselves that we have the keys to the kingdom so-to-speak.  How much of that is accurate?  Do we?  How much is going to happen automatically without our conscious attempts at participation and control?

As far as intuition is concerned, we will discover through our careful observations that we’ve been intuitive all along and the earth rotates on its axis and the sun rises each day and the next breath happens without our control.  It will rain or it won’t; we trust that.  If we can practice trusting our next inhalation and heartbeat and learn to observe it consciously, intentionally and if we can learn to trust these mysteries and this magic that happen naturally and unconsciously (weather is a good example), then we see that there is Divine Timing and that we participate in it and with it; we do not control it.  If we can trust that, then we can trust our intuition and we can understand the meaning of the word—trust.  Learn to do intentionally something that you usually do naturally and automatically; that is not only about trust but it is also being self-aware and awake.

Observe the divine breath within you and then you will be able to receive your own intuitive messages and have a personal understanding of what it means to trust and to be in the flow of your own intuitive wisdom. And maybe once in a while you will see that the weather, too, moves in harmony with this process called you or better said [capital Y] You, the Greater You that is We and All That Is.

Final thought–we do attract what we need (Law of Attraction if you’d like) and sometimes we need it to rain and sometimes not; sometimes we need our lover to leave us and sometimes not and sometimes we need lots of money and sometimes not.  Sometimes our breath and heart stops and sometimes not–trust is about surrendering to the idea that we receive exactly what we need–and we receive it exactly when and how we need it.  Trust that if your ego will let you. 🙂
