On Gratitude

There is not a more pleasing exercise of the mind than gratitude. It is accompanied with such an inward satisfaction that the duty is sufficiently rewarded by the performance.

–Joseph Addison

“Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it.”

–William Arthur Ward

I’d like to believe that gratitude is part of my spiritual expression and that it never leaves me and is always expressing.

When the weather shifts, it stirs my soul.

Yours too?

It’s an especially gorgeous day in the Appalachian Mountains of North Carolina today.

I wanted to go on the record with my gratitude for this beautiful day, and just did!

“If the only prayer you said in your whole life was, “thank you,” that would suffice.”

–Meister Eckhart
